#2A is supposed to allow the same weapons as the military uses. It's not a self-defense or hunting right. It's an absolute right and needed to keep a corrupt Gov in check.

do you think that if it ever comes to that , that an assault rifle is going to make any difference???

There are drones and so much remote weaponry today so powerful they wouldn’t even have to put one boot on the ground, they can do it all in the comfort of a computer screen . .you reckon your gonna shoot at remote weaponry and win?

at this point in technology, your assault rifle will only defend you against straight out civilians,

but instead of defending anyone, they are being used to commit mass casualty’s in shopping malls and schools

they can ban them right now as far as I am concerned , and I am not anti-gun at all, just proactive against people who have screws loose and commit these crimes against innocent civilians.

Court hands Trump win in sanctuary city fight, says administration can deny grant money.

A federal appeals court on Wednesday handed a major win to the Trump administration in its fight against β€œsanctuary” jurisdictions, ruling that it can deny grant money to states that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in New York overturned a lower court ruling that stopped the administration’s 2017 move to withhold grant money from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, which dispenses over $250 million a year to state and local criminal justice efforts.

β€œToday’s decision rightfully recognizes the lawful authority of the Attorney General to ensure that Department of Justice grant recipients are not at the same time thwarting federal law enforcement priorities,” a DOJ spokesman said in a statement. β€œThe grant conditions here require states and cities that receive DOJ grants to share information about criminals in custody. The federal government uses this information to enforce national immigration laws--policies supported by successive Democrat and Republican administrations.”

β€œAll Americans will benefit from increased public safety as this Administration is able to implement its lawful immigration and public safety policies,” the statement said.

We stopped the largest, best armed army in the world, England.

Mass shooting at Miller’s-Coors building today in Wisconsin, 8 victims . One shooter dead, I can’t copy and paste it because I am on my cell phone.

I didn’t see where they posted anything on the type of gun used.

but do to the loose screw people in our society coupled with all the mass shootings in America, reduce the fire power, ban assault rifles and the 30-50-100 clips that go with them. Because a person with a 9mm handgun is at a HUGE disadvantage in trying to defend themself against such an intruder.

A 7.62 - 5.56 - .223 isn’t going contend at all against the technology of today’s remote weaponry , satellite microwave technology and so on.

so why not just ban the assault rifles??

No reason to ban them. More people are killed by hammers than rifles.

Why not ban private cars and force everyone to use public transportation or a car service? Many more thousands of people killed / injured in cars.

Perhaps, but at the same time , there is no reason not to ban them as well for the sake of innocent civilians in school, stores, at work who obviously stand little chance against an active shooter with an assault rifle ambushing and spraying into crowds.

no other gun rights would be lost in the wake of an assault rifle ban, But the mass shootings have stop right now.

People will use other rifles, hand guns, shot guns, cars, bombs. Perfect example is the UK.

Liz Warren is going to stop the coronavirus by tearing down the "racist wall" and opening our borders.

Why hasn't China thought of that?

Good question... why haven't they thought of that? If they can build a hospital in 10 days, they might be able to tear down the Great Wall of China in a month...

Don't get me wrong but obviously there's profit in death. Millions are being made because of this virus.
People are complaining the market is crashing... yet I've made bank shorting stocks.
Trump did a great job in yesterday's speech and assembled a great staff.
Word of advise... buy the dip.

Here’s where the proposed funding for the Coronavirus response is coming from:

See a pattern here? Take from the elderly and the poor.
Lots of fixed income seniors in the colder states depend on LIHEAp.
Why not take funding from that wall?

Congress could make money available. They control the budget.

Factories are probably working overtime to keep up with the sudden massive demand in face masks. Over here, pharmacies are not selling masks in packs of 50 or 100... instead they are only selling 2 per person per day!

Are Airline and Cruise Ship stocks taking a beating?

Stocks are bound to drop even more, especially if the virus increases a lot in the US and Europe...

not a part of any gun control crowd, if i were i would have posted i was

pay no attention to @mr-x when it comes to gun control issues, his views don't align with most Americans. On issues like assault weapons ban, bump stock ban, universal background checks, his views are on the fringe, with the minority.

And unless I was reading it wrong, our government/military isn't concerned with some armed citizenry that like to hang out in the forest on the weekends, drinking beer, shooting at trees, preparing for some standoff with the government or some race war, since out military will always be better trained and equipped.
