This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Plenty of word+ful domain sales. Eager to see if you had more similar sales.

I confirm that I bought the domain name from the original registrant:

Bought: CustomerSupport.co
Price:
$1000
Venue: Epik marketplace
Hold time: 3 years
Total cost: Under $100 (non-premium .co)

We are looking at deploying an alternative to Zendesk -- an open source solution that will let us scale out the number of seats to many hundreds and allow customers to also have live chats for their landing pages.

The premium domain name CustomerService.com is still in play for anyone interested but it was more than we wanted to shell out right now.

I had my first ever sale.

Sold PeachyStudio.com for 2000$ via DAN.

Received 2k offer and accepted it the next day.

Domain pushed and funds received in the bank.

Acquired in December via GD Closeouts for 20$.

Did outbound to many potential businesses with no success.

That's great return. Well done!

Just settled a local OZ domain 1stopshop.com.au for 900. Had no intention of holding it much longer.

Name: Penguin/P/a/c/k/a/g/i/n/g in king.
Sale Price: $3,467
Venue: Afternic
Hold Time: 10 months
Total Cost: $14.38

Don't usually like sharing sales but this was the first good sale of the year. Also a handreg. Was going to use this name for a business in the future as I liked the alliteration. Money is always nice though. :)

Congrats on the sale. It took a month to receive your money ?

Yep - there was a 'known issue' with Afternic's Payment Platform which delayed the processing of some payments.

I have used them many times before so this was really just a one off.

I have a similar approach to domains I buy/reg for my own purposes. I either list them with a higher-than-normally price or keep saying they're mot for sale, which sometimes deters the queries but sometimes drives the offers up. That's because when selling such a domain, I'm also giving up a plan or a dream...

listbuild . com sold on afternic 2/14/20 for $995. Original hand register 15 years or so ago. Off market til last year. Too cheap but want to diversify some. Sold BIN full price. Most of my small portfolio was on sale this month in hopes of a sale. Very happy to get one so can reinvest some of the $$.

Domain: Cosmetic/1/0/1/.com
Sale Price: $299
Venue: Afternic BIN
Hold Time: 2 months
Type: hand reg

I rarely do hand regs but I did reg quite a few in December, to test my tools. Having some other cosmetic ones awaiting their buyer. Decided to discount this a week ago and it sold.

No regrets, I'm getting inquiries on other domains as well; this is the first sale and there are still lots in the same pile. It also helps steering hand regs in the future and I'll be working on a better version of the tools. Haven't done a head count but it should pay roughly for about half of the batch.

Purchased here on NamePros in a mixed lot and paid an avg of $2.15 per name. After no inquiries for 3 years I "put it on sale" and it sold. I have sold many from this lot.
