Flat Earth FC: the football club who represent a conspiracy theory

The Flat Earth FC chairman says he is ‘using the club to make sure that people reconsider their lives’

... “Football is the most popular sport and has the most impact worldwide, so creating a club dedicated to the flat earth movement is the best way to have a constant presence in the media,” said Poves earlier this year. “Flat Earth FC is the first football club whose followers are united by the most important thing, which is an idea.”

The club’s crest is now a circular image of the earth, pressed flat on to all kits, and fans are encouraged to spark regular conversations in their pursuit of answers from the powers that be. The team mascot? An astronaut. It’s a radical move, but the club is bringing in supporters from afar. “It’s really amazing to be part of this amazing movement,” says Flat Earth player Mario Cardete. “I think it’s more than a club.”

Few who have invested their careers within the system of any of the branches that lend credibility to "space" have broken free from the indoctrination to actually think, sense and perceive for themselves.
I know many of those people. Perhaps I was one of them. Maybe we can agree to disagree:xf.wink:.

While closed-minded people are present within any endeavour, I think the vast majority of scientists are indeed open to new ideas. Perhaps not to the degree of Einstein's amazing outside the box thoughts, but they constantly try new ideas out to see if they have merit, even at first seemingly crazy ideas.

What scientists also do is depend critically on a model where science is not an absolute to be proven, but rather good science can make predictions that can be verified. Relativity is not important and brilliant because Einstein could imagine that Maxwell or Tesla could have a limited view, but rather because from eclipse experiments to gravitational lensing to countless other examples it has made predictions and observations were consistent, within uncertainty. Each of us holds in our hands one device that tests both general and special relativity, GPS devices.

Similarly, there are predictions possible from both flat and spherical Earth possibilities. They can be as simple as launching a rocket and taking a picture, or taking a round the world trip.

Perhaps I have responded more seriously than you intended. Always hard to judge intent and tone in online communication. If so, my apologies.

The trend in modern society to distrust those who seriously take evidence and validation, while at the same time latching onto views that do not even attempt those tests, has done much damage in climate change understanding, human health measures, and many other areas.

Sorry this is a topic, I feel very strongly about. Not flat earth per se (I don't care if people playfully say they believe in flat earth), but the more general trend to say any theory is as good as any other, or scientists operate in a close-mindset world.

Thank you for being open-minded.

Check out Captain Cook's around the world trip around the edge of what we know as "Antarctica" . .

over sixty thousand miles and three years later he did actually go around the world, continuously checking to see if he could go beyond the barrier of ice his crew encountered, however, they did not find a passageway through the ice.

The truth is here for us to see; however, our internal GPS and BS detectors have been tinkered with by the chaos magicians who utilize the world as a stage (especially with the advent of television) to indoctrinate the masses to believe external repeated information with agendas that are not actually designed for the best interests of humanity. (Just a few decades ago you remember that MDs promoted cigarettes in print ads and TV commercials, yes?)

Check out the astrolabe as a primer for how sailors traveled the world before GPS. Of course the principles of the GPS rely on the astrolabe configuration.

The rabbit hole is incredibly deep and fewer than 1% are willing to buck the programming, admit we've all been duped and begin to see with their senses and reclaim their inner divinity. I have faith you can do it.

Google has most certainly smokescreened and whitewashed the truth that was much easier to find even just a year ago, however if you are impeccably discerning and your BS detectors work and your mind is sharp, the truth is still accessible.

My intentions?

First and foremost I am a Teacher, Doctor and Taoist Priest and my intention is to uplevel humanity to a more balanced state during these precious fleeting days in an Earth suit.

"There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein

Theories is a way to make our lives the we want them, not really the way they are IMO, an open mind is a good thing and at times brings us prosperity, but it also can bring us grief if not controlled with what we actually are able to see and hear with our eyes and ears, I believe nothing I hear and 50% of what I see, life is a tricky illusion of what if’s and maybes, theories and imagination.

Exactly , great video too.

these groups that are formed from such things as the earth is flat are harmless groups of people who have clubs and forums and get togethers , these same groups exist in syfy, Bigfoot, aliens and ect.

Humans are very curious beings, we tend to bridge out beyond reality because it is a way to make us feel more in control, most of the time this is harmless to our well being, in certain instances it can be very toxic.

Neil Disgrace Tyson is merely an actor playing his role on the stage.

Notice cartoons and computer graphics are typically all these actors utilize for their ball earth rhetoric.... all of the evidence from actual video and photographs give away the truth (i.e. the horizon always raising to eye level on weather balloon clips)

Trust yourself, not a 33rd degree mason actor who claims we live on an oblate spheroid and that "we really don't know what gravity is"

Be on the cutting edge of awareness .... or not.

I believe nothing I hear

I just saw/heard a demonstration of software/program that is used to capture the voice and words of someone on an outgoing voicemail. The sample went something like "Hi, I am not able to take your call right now...please leave me a message and I will get back to you soon". With virtually no effort, that audio was fed into the program and the demonstrator was able to use the tones, inflections etc to say anything they wanted and it sounded 90% like the original speaker. I was told with some more tweaking, it would be closer to 100%. This is a new trend being used to dupe people out of money...calling as if they are in danger and need payment immediately so they wont be hurt. We now, unfortunately, must question everything we see and hear.
