That's really nice if i was you i would surely give him 200-400$ just to show my support and appreciation towards him. It's always good to help People which somehow were contributing to your success in the process.

What if OP had made a loss in sale?

Keith should pay OP?

Good thought but it’s quite alright. Glad to see the nice sales!

Huh? Why? Appreciation why? He sold a domain he didnt want anymore. And the buyer sold it for profit. How did he contribute to his success? He didn't give him a formula for success. He sold him a domain.

That means if you sell a name you hand registered you will give part to the registry?

That means when you buy something for $90 from a namepros member here and inform him you sold it for 8-10K you thank him with appreciation $200-400.

Keith isn't liable to pay anything neither is he entitled to the riches :) but it's an act of kindness like the message stated i bought it from you for 90$ and sold it for 8000 - 10,000.

What i meant is if you bought something for such a low price and knew the buyer and inform him you sold it higher it surely does bring a feeling in the previous seller's mind of he only waited.. So if you do some act of kindness by helping its not a bad idea then again it's not like you have too as an obligation but it's an act of saying thank you.

Wow didn't know saying something nice for someone can have so much reaction, it's just a random thought and i guess i mentioned it's not an obligation but something one does from their heart.

You don't have to do anything :) so relax and enjoy the domain game

Did you sell it before 2011?

I should just always say this and drive the price up. :)

I have a similar approach to domains I buy/reg for my own purposes. I either list them with a higher-than-normally price or keep saying they're mot for sale, which sometimes deters the queries but sometimes drives the offers up.

I don't see it as "giving up a dream" but that I will have to spend time finding another brand. That is a better thing to tell a potential buyer though. :)

That's because when selling such a domain, I'm also giving up a plan or a dream...

listbuild . com sold on afternic 2/14/20 for $995. Original hand register 15 years or so ago. Off market til last year. Too cheap but want to diversify some. Sold BIN full price. Most of my small portfolio was on sale this month in hopes of a sale. Very happy to get one so can reinvest some of the $$.

Yeah I agreed, sometimes we just need to let some go to make way for new investment/venture and positive cash flow is important for businesses.

I think that I would have sold it too for $7,000 and I would be happy too :)
In my opinion, the $100,000 purchase was an inexpected sale, by an extremely lucky or expert seller :)
The seller shot high for this domain, and he did it.
But really, congratulations for your sale of this domain, it was a very good sale that's for sure!

That 2011 deal would be an early buy as a play on Facebook for adult themed business I would assume. Given the premise, and size of facebook, it would be a well funded end user with a direct business strategy, and it just didn’t work
out I guess.

I confirm that I bought the domain name from the original registrant:

Bought: CustomerSupport.co
Price:
$1000
Venue: Epik marketplace
Hold time: 3 years
Total cost: Under $100 (non-premium .co)

We are looking at deploying an alternative to Zendesk -- an open source solution that will let us scale out the number of seats to many hundreds and allow customers to also have live chats for their landing pages.

The premium domain name CustomerService.com is still in play for anyone interested but it was more than we wanted to shell out right now.

Rob I have never seen somebody posting here that he bought a domain
everybody as far as I recall is posting SALES here
"report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/page-774"

does the seller agree in you posting here?

I had mentioned that and was then reminded....
This thread is a central location to report domain name sales or purchases of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

I used to have about 20 a couple years ago but sold for cheap almost all of them. So this one was the last and only one. Recently started submitting again, the first bunch is under review...

My first BP sale!

Q/U/A/N/T/A/N/O/V/A.com
Sale price: $3,795

It's an August 2019 handreg but was one of my favorite names in my portfolio. Could have increased the price a bit but I think it's fair considering the acquisition cost.

Congrats! and smart choices.

What were your thoughts behind registering this name?

Thanks.

Superannuation.com

SuperFunds.com

CryptoFashion.com

eSecurityToken.com

UtilitySettlementCoin.com (Many worlds largest banks created their own cryptocurrency (for … purposes)

Have no idea what I paid, I've forgotten, but I didn't pay a lot. Maybe a lot relative to what they're worth, but not a lot.

Also might have FinancialPlanning.org and Quotron.com coming my way. Currently negotiating.

How much did they sell for?

I bought them. This thread said both bought and sold, so I'm just saying I bought these names through GoDaddy. Am working on two more acquisitions as we speak; Quotron.com and FinancialPlanning.org
