JB, can you not see it? Or do you mean make votes viewable only after voting?

Believe afternic's the most popular (premium, fast transfer) But they dont offer lease options.

If you plan to offer financing, lease-to-own, epik all day, and it's not close.

If you find end user, why not offer them most payment flexibility?

Epik's lease-to-own is the best in the industry, by far.

Dan lease-to-own 2.0 $99 min, whereas epik's is <$10. You can also edit Epik sale pages, and helps, epik is accredited registrar, though have to be registered at epik (lease to buy.)

I voted Afternic, Epik and Dan.

When you make a poll, there is that option where you have to click a little box which makes the votes "public" meaning you can click on the vote count and see who voted for what/transparency. Just in general I like that with any poll. But that's just a preference thing, others might not want that. It'll just be a better poll, less poll stuffing.

Nice, thanks Samer. Going the financing route, am going to have a few names set to Epiks options for sure. I think that's a great incentive for buyers to jump on a name they might otherwise think out of their league.

I like the voting has been spread out a bit thus far. Working on doing the same with names, with spreading them at Uni, Afternic and Epik. All three have stellar presentations on their listing pages imo, and for me that's an important first step in creating an impression with a buyer.

I used to trust some marketplaces. Now i am thinking to host a website to sell domains.
Now a days, Every marketplace has been taking advantage of our traffic and selling their portfolios.(or some insiders)
Marketplaces are showing their attitude like they have been doing a great favour to sellers.
Without us(seller), does they really exist?

If I could route my offers/buys from voodoo parking to the epik ssl landers, that would be the one and only option I would use. If time permits, the product that @Josytal offers may be the way I go soon...it looks great and I believe there is the option to have more than one payment button offered for payment/checkout (in case someone would prefer epik or afternic or dan).

Within 24hrs after launch, two among them - for example @andrewschnarr / DOT Vc - got same-day offers for their domains. Another proof that sending your leads to third-parties without first seeing, negotiation and knowing who is the buyer-to-be, may not be wise after all. You might be losing more than you can imagine.

What I've noticed of recent is Conflict of interest. Our domains are in cut-throat competition with marketplace owners' inventory for front page and premium spots.

For example, GoDaddy has in its own inventory/asset of over 1 million domains to sell (check namefind/com). Most of those domains are featured on their marketplace.
So, no matter how the die is cast, your domains never attain visibility.

Would like to add to this. @Josytal has helped get it up and running with great support! One of the key features I like is the member feature. Not only do you see who is viewing and putting offers, you get a free mailing list! So, if your clients are a domain investors then you have a mailing list you can market your domains. It is definitely a nice platform that will help you with renewal times again. Once coming up for renewals, place in bargain bin and email your clients for better upselling. One thing I would add is to allow header scripts (unless I missed that part). But great platform nonetheless.

Not sure about the header scripts you're referring to. Could you please PM the details. I'll look into it and see if anything can be done.

Got to an incoming cold-call/email for negotiating, Profit margin and ability to identify potential purchaser otherwise.

Dan for simplicity, speed and lowest commission.
Sedo usually for confidence of sale completing

#'s 1 & 2 are beauties, as long as whois is public no landers no markets needed. Literally the domain can be going to dead air. But where's the fun in that??
Forgot about adding parking monetization co's (and not surprised to see it mentioned from you) to the vote options, used to use Above a couple years back but their interface drove me away, and never fully took advantage of their integration system.

I've looked at your site in the past, but for me personally it may be a little counter-intuitive as currently I'd just be moving all my names from one portfolio into another, and I've worked hard on my base for a number of years to its current place. Accidentally deleted an email from NameSilo for verifying a fast transfer opt-in for a domain I had added to Afternic. So removed and relisted the domain, to receive the NS email again. But alas, twas not to be. Several times, have I removed and added the name back to Afternic, but nothing is triggering the opt-in email again from NameSilo. It's like you only get one chance or something.

Here's the silly interaction I had with NameSilo chat rep, enjoy!



"sometimes it works" Were they for reals, unlocking the domain?? Needless to say, nope that didn't do it. Not going to pursue it further. Likely just a technical glitch. At least Afternic ended up listing the domain, seems the opt-in not mandatory for that to happen.

FYI...I've been using the voodoo provided contact option the last few weeks (rather than send an inquiry through parked pages to another marketplace) and it has worked well...can't believe after all these years I have just now started using it. No need to use your own email as the interactions are all handled through the voodoo system.

For names that get proven revenue, they will stay with that voodoo system for sure...others will be sent to a 'buy it now' lander at 'x' marketplace. Still looking forward to trying the dnhat system as well.

Thanks to you, DNHat now has one more feature - plugin for social share buttons.

That being said, please cut-paste your code to the appropriate block we've just created : Soc. Share Buttons (under plugins).

The block you're currently using for the buttons is meant for traffic monetization plugin and future updates may overwrite your code or the script parse it wrongly.

Can you elaborate, when you get a chance? Re. bolded. What does Voodoo have to do with Afternic? And by "worked well", in what way? Thx Funsky.

Using 3rd party marketplaces outside of Sedo, toyed with Flippa in past, is new to me. Will always be strong believer in keeping a solid base or back-up (ie, hosted portfolio with landers) where any screw-ups are yours to manage, not dependent on others.

Re Afternic...it may be another thread that I started rambling a bit that had a reference to an afternic issue by the OP that my response had nothing to do with as I missed the Afternic part...it is all running together. It seems after I posted I thought to myself it may not make sense...not sure if there is some crossover here.

So, I've been trying alot of things in the last 6 month and just found the voodoo system is easy to work with once an inquiry comes in (I've been parking with them for years and never tried it). So if I've got a name with a 500 min and bin of 5,000 the buyer has the option to buy it, with the transaction going thru escrow (no choice as they have it set up this way) with it being clear the buyer pays all fees.

If they make an offer, I get an email with all the pertinent info such as (format from a recent inquiry):

Name: David xxxxx
Email: xxxxxxx
Phone: xxxxxx2275
IP: xxx.569.128.160
Location: xxxxxxxxx, United States
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 Chrome/80.0.3987.122 Safari/537.36

I can take that info and email the buyer directly or I can respond through the inquiry manager provided by voodoo. It is anonymous meaning they (buyer) can not see my personal info/email unless I want them to. I give them the option to proceed with escrow or I send them the prices via epik, escrow and/or afternic and let them decide where they would like to complete the sale.

Moving the names between Epik Marketplace, Afternic and Voodoo gives me different info and data as the name ages. I always leave it listed at all the places (including Sedo and Dan) at the same time but only have bin at one place at one time. I've got all data in excel with pricing at each marketplace predetermined (taking commission into consideration). I run through pricing on my top third names every 3 months (just today I raised the price as much as 10,000 on a few names due to recent similar sales) and of course, I had to drop pricing on a few as well. Whew, I need a beer...

Ok that clears that up a bit, lol. And thanks for the details on Voodoo! Agreed with the have a BIN at only one place, I do the same. Aft requires a bin to be listed, whereas so many of the other marketplaces do not. So something to consider if looking to limit one's bin's.

My vote goes to the incredible Uniregistry Market. The Project Dynamo upgrade rolled out in November, which added more than 50 new features, has made it near perfect.

This is indeed a very sophisticated platform. It’s easy to see why Godaddy acquired it.

It is really cool and versatile. You can self-broker for zero commission. I use BIN (10 percent commission) but set up with automatic broker assist when the buyer wants to connect (15 percent commission).

So all my domains are listed with BIN plus “Submit Enquiry” on the landers. Most of the time buyers contact via the submit enquiry option. So my commissions vary.

At buyers’ requests, I have used Escrow at Uni for 10 sales, one on a payment plan. I have also used Uni’s own in-house payment plan, which is absolutely perfect. Uni handled all the payment and transfer administration. I just received the payments as if it was a normal single transaction.

Thanks to the Uni Market and their professional brokerage team, I have sold 10 domains in the first two months of 2020 for $24,950.
