I wrote a program that helps me find unregistered brandable names by combining word lists. I also have it return the GD appraisal along with the number of tlds it's registered in. There's a scoring feature that allows me to sort the prefixes/suffixes by how often they were present in the unregistered domains. It helps determine the most popular/valuable words (generally in a certain niche unless I am combining more than 2 word lists). The words found least often are the most valuable. I may post some of these results eventually.

Every so often, I will post some of the good names it finds.

I also have a bunch of historical domain sales. I ran a bulk availability check on them and saved the available ones along with their sale price and venue. I may post this as well.

I'm self-taught and started with Java. Started using Python in the past year. I learned some Javascript so that I could create some personal browser extensions and play around with the browser developer tools and console. This program is written in java. I used youtube/google/stackoverflow almost exclusively to learn. I appreciate your interest. I'm always looking to network with other programmers and with interesting people in general.

Sorry for the wait. I'm going to upload the lists of available names from historical sales. The larger file (~15k lines - Domain, sale price, venue) is data from many venues. I did not have the sale years unfortunately. The smaller file (just 115 names) is entirely from GoDaddy and contains sale price with sale year. These historical sales were collected from the related sales provided by the GD appraisal.

I thought it would be interesting to see how recently names that sold on SquadHelp were being registered. Out of 228 recent sales, a little more than 1/3rd were registered under a year ago. I'll upload the file with the names and their registration dates.

I had nameminer append the words capital and media to about 5.5k words I took from the top of a sorted list of about 30k words found in historical sales. Sorted by their frequency in historical sales and sales prices. I'll attach the result. Only GD appraisal this time.
