Domain Buyer's Payment Issues with Dan.com

So to cut the long story short, I just completed an outbound sale earlier today through Paypal because my enduser wasnt able to make payment with his card at DAN.com few days ago and went silent, so I followed up and he mentioned about the "payment issue, and he'll try another card next morning or check with his bank". I had imported this lead into their (Dan's) system.

Have you had similar experience with Dan.com where you had almost lost a domain sale, or were on the verge of losing a sale but saved it somehow?

Just to highlight, I had 8-9 various buyer offers on different domain names at Dan, which disappeared or went silent a month and a half ago, so I have decided to switch platforms and shifted base to EFTY earlier this week.

UPDATED:

Here are some proofs for you regarding payment failures at DAN.com:

If it was one-off instance that I have mentioned or have been complaining about, and DAN is religiously refuting, I would have gone my way but when more than one person complains, there must be something wrong.. think about from a business point of view and do as you please!

This is the thread where you voice it out and let 'em know that they (Dan.com) are losing the game!!

You could edit and mark your domain as not sold. So that you would get leads.

Are you sure that is allowed?

just click on name.. uncheck sold box.
its why its there.. so u decide when its time to put it back on market.. depending on how you feel about sale potential.

I just went to do what you suggested and the name is not listed on my portfolio page anymore.

Strange.

I looked for the box you mentioned under transactions and also in the box that pops up

for the sale and I cannot find the option you recommended.

Where, specifically is this option located?

Thanks

I found and changed the domain to unsold as you suggested,

however the sales box still shows up in transactions.

Do you know what happens if the buyer comes back in the future

and wants to complete the sale at the agreed price -

even though the domain is back up for sale?

Thanks

the sales box remains open until dan cancels the whole sale. til then they keep trying. which is good thing. and regardless if u removed that box or not. the two are independent.

So if the buyer comes through I have to complete the sale?

Is that right?

Do you know how long the buyer has to complete the sale

before the agreement is cancelled?

What happens if I get another offer through the landing page

while the other sale is still uncompleted.

Do you know?

Thanks

well for most people its a good thing to keep trying to get the sale. so they keep trying.
but of course like u say there is possibilities when you may get better offer... stil even then u have to complete the first one.. if not yet cancelled.

so if your case is that you want ot cancel sale compltely.. andnot just get the domain back on markert, while having dan try to finalize sale... then I thnk your only option is email them to cancel it asap. but even then they'll proably tell u to wait some min time.. like on sedo or gd.. where your offer is legal binding for 7 days or so., hope this helps.

1) no
2) so what?
3) is that a matter that concerns you?

You jumping in every time someone provides feedback about DAN is a matter of concern for sure, fanboy! ;)
