“Refill the Swamp” week continues...

Trump adds former NYPD commissioner, financier convicted in fraud schemes to pardon spree

“The White House credited Kerik's friend and former boss in New York City, Rudy Giuliani — now Trump's personal lawyer and Ukraine fixer — for helping persuade Trump to pardon Kerik.”

Julie Annie has been busy.

“Officials have gotten into trouble for sexual misconduct, abusing their authority, personal bankruptcy, failure to file documents, waste of public funds, receiving substantial unrecorded gifts, and association with organized crime figures. It is rare for anyone to be under fire on all seven of the above issues."

https://theweek.com/speedreads/8966...apparently-wiped-keriks-103300-debt-taxpayers

Another crook let loose, and let off hook for the money he owes the IRS. Must be nice - if any of us were convicted of tax fraud I’m sure they’d make us pay it back.

Wonder how many of these guys he’ll be trotting out at his “rallies” later this year?

Pretty much sums up the left's current outrage.

You have to be a criminal to get a pardon. It would be nice if the people getting them, deserved it but not how things work. Mixed bag this time, just like when Obama handed them out. Bill Clinton probably the worse.

There is much grumbling about President Trump’s pardons of well-known Americans such as former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, former NYPD Chief Bernard Kerik and former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, Jr.
Some have claimed that it’s the end of the rule of law and justice that the president would grant clemency to this well-known rogues gallery along with small-time drug dealers.
Blue checkmarks are in high dudgeon:
Though it wasn’t as bad as Bill Clinton pardoning arms dealer Mark Rich and Puerto Rican terrorists, there was plenty of ick factor implicit in some of Trump’s choices for pardons and commutations.
The guy who tried to sell to the highest bidder Barack Obama’s Senate seat? Really?
Among those who interceded for others to ask for pardons and clemency were the well-connected multi-millionaires, including Alice Johnson and Alveda King.
But let’s go back to the Wayback Machine, folks, and gain some perspective.
It wasn’t too long ago, one year before he left office, that Barack Obama gave full pardons to men in prison at the behest – not of Alice Johnson or Alveda King– of the Iranian government as part of the Iran nuclear deal.
On January 16, in his last year of office, President Obama put the finishing touches on his dreadful Iran deal by giving full pardons to people with ties to the number one state sponsor of terrorism.

Wayback Machine: Remember Obama's Iran Deal Pardons?

It's not how many people were pardoned but who and what crimes they committed. And regardless: If your goal is to "drain the swamp", why pardon these guys? Milken, Blagojevich and Kerik ware particularly high-profile tax cheats and swamp dwellers.

Blagojevich is a first-class slimeball, liar and cheat. First-hand assessment from an acquaintance who worked for him. He blatantly tried to sell a senate seat. We're saying that this behavior is OK???

Got to watch Bernie vs the Multi Billionaire tonight!!!

All the candidates are going to be going after him. It will be interesting to see how he handles it.

According the enlytend, the worst offender of handing out pardons was:
OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not discussing Obama. That was 3 years ago, and he made no claims that he was “draining the swamp”.

I find this hypocritical at best that the current potus, who ran on that platform, is doing just the opposite. That is all.

And again, a person is again avoiding the real truth of OBAMA and trying her damn best to make TRUMP bad, because hey, that is the only thing liberals know what to do.....

1) Trump didn't run on a platform of not giving pardons to people he believes have been overcharged, persecuted or have redeemed themselves.

2) Obama pardoned terrorist. American and foreign. Until Trump pardons a unrepentant terrorist bomb maker, you have nothing to complain about.

orange man bad.

Odds @JB Lions and @enlytend will support this? Because love is love baby.

LGBTQ Young People Nondiscrimination in the Sex Offender Registry Act,”

Lawmakers in California are working on legislation that would exempt some homosexual and transgender child rapists from the state's sex-offender registry,

Under the legislation, a 24-year-old grown man would be able to sodomize a 14-year-old boy and claim it was “consensual.”

And if you don't agree, you're the real problem - LGBTQ+xyz mafia.

No. Blago served 10 years in prison. His sentence was commuted. He's still a felon, can't vote, can't own a gun, etc..

Trump was clear why he commuted the sentence, prosecutors were over zealous, the same people who persecuted him and his campaign staff.

If Bloomberg makes a good showing tonight in the debate he will lead in the polls, they are going after every inequity they can find on him, should be very interesting

Here’s another good one - Pogue. Cheated on his taxes, underpaid by almost 500k. Sentenced to 3 years probabion and a 250k fine plus the tax he owed.
But he donated over 200k to dump’s campaign.
Pardoned.
Apparently our potus, who has fought tooth and nail to keep anyone from seeing his own tax returns, is perfectly OK with people cheating on their taxes. As long as they split the profits with him.
Good to know.

Democrat history you all.
And with the clowns running for president?
All would be down with doing this for any American who disagrees with them.

Today in 1942 – World War II: United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs executive order 9066, allowing the United States military to relocate Japanese Americans to internment camps.

Remember what I said about leaks earlier in the thread. If there is anything else out there about Trump, they'll be coming out the next 9 months.

Julian Assange says Trump offered a pardon if he covered up Russian hacking of Democrats

The lawyer of the Wikileaks founder claimed in a British court that former US congressman Dana Rohrabacher visited Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Rohrabacher allegedly went on behalf of President Donald Trump to offer a pardon if Assange said Russia was not involved in the leak of Democratic National Committee emails. White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said the claim "is a complete fabrication and a total lie."

https://twitter.com/search?q=Assange&src=trend_click&pt=1230237734280712192

Says the person who believes Trump is a Manchurian candidate controlled by Putin.

More the reality that Putin wants Trump to win and they're doing things to make that happen.

So a lawyer presents third-hand hearsay from a former Congressman the Washington Post called "Putin's best friend in congress." That really would be laughed out of any court of law. And yet, I'm the whacky conspiracy guy for thinking the CIA might be up to their same old dirty tricks.

I made no opinion on it, I posted what was trending. Whether Trump was behind it, we shall see but there is no doubt Rohrabacker spoke to them. And no, this has nothing to do with your wacky assassination stuff. You still haven't addressed my questions. It's still batshit crazy. And yes, Trump pardons people. That's a reality, not a conspiracy.

“At no time did I offer Julian Assange anything from the President because I had not spoken with the President about this issue at all,” Rohrabacher said. “However, when speaking with Julian Assange, I told him that if he could provide me information and evidence about who actually gave him the DNC emails, I would then call on President Trump to pardon him. At no time did I offer a deal made by the President, nor did I say I was representing the President.”

OH, and of course, the liberals who do not pay taxes!!!!

If some big time “liberal” or “democrat” *cheats* on their taxes they should be punished for it also. I don’t GAF who it is. If not, the rest of us eventually end up picking up the tab. Someone who fraudulently avoids paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes shouldn’t be pardoned by a president regardless of how much they contributed to said president’s campaign. Whether that president is a dem or gop.

Capiche?

Did Obama pardon any big time tax cheats? Ones who contributed big money to his campaign? Or anyone convicted of trying to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder? I see mostly pardons for drug related convictions and some smaller amount financial crimes in his record...

But IF he did, that was wrong and 1) two wrongs don’t make a right and 2) if you have a problem with it you cede any moral high ground to defend trump for the same thing.
