I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So i checked out a dozen of those LLLs that were just bought and they are all parked with Epik, with the same price. For example:

Ugh, its out of touch listings like this that ruin marketplaces... If I ran a marketplace, I would reserve the right to approve all BIN pricing to veto this shit.

I will take this option:
$500/mo
+ Option to Buy: $150,000

I wonder if this seller is even Canadian, or factoring off 3L.com valuations.

There's no down factoring involved - even the .COM probably wouldn't sell for that...

Of course it is cheap compared to ecomments (.com) and a bunch more domains including some .xyz priced on Flippa at 2.147 billion $ :xf.grin: (Each)

Other than the brandable places, do any of the marketplaces try to enforce reasonable prices. While too much regulation would be bad, I think ridiculous prices harm the marketplaces and other domainers.

He's referring to cherry picking any domains in TBR, not just the LLL's. So yes, the TBR game is 100% cherry picking.

And there were/are lots of cherries the past 2 weeks.

It's on sale at SEDO for $150 USD. Surely Molson could spend a mere $150 to protect it's trademark. It's actually significantly cheaper than keeping a trademark.

Can't help but wonder how much he paid in legal fees defending it.

Molson must have spent $20000 trying to get it. Certainly the most expensive $150 name I've ever seen.

USD $150 is the minimum offer.

I saw that. He's probably trying to lure in some offers, but it's not a good sign in terms of what it might sell for.

Sooooo... what's the longest domain you've ever seen? The limit is 63 characters. I just stumbled on this one at 61 characters long.

canadianacademyofreconstructivecosmeticandaestheticgynecology.ca

Yikes. Try and remember that one :)

Clearly some SEO guy thought stuffing as many words into a domain name was a good idea.

Anyways, just sharing my chuckle of the day...

To Be Released (TBR) Weekly .CA Picks for February 19, 2020

The .CA numbers did fall below 8K domains, but the TBR list is still chock full of goodies and we may be looking at 200 selections for the second week in a row. The number of LLLs certainly dropped, but the premium single-words more than made up for it, along with a pile of aged 2-words to choose from. It’s also a wild week for female first-names so keep your eyes peeled throughout the recap.

This is one Loooong List - "That's what she said!"

Definitely a good list this week. Hoping to get a few. Quite a few on that list will probably goto a $xx,xxx bid if caught by the big guys.

I put bids on over 30 domains and from looking at the hive of activity, I have no hope.

I see a lot of names caught this week going to MyId and into their “black hole” of no return.

Same here. I'm just going to grab some popcorn and watch the show

In other news, i changed all 99% of my domains to "make offer" on Sedo to see if that's more effective. BINs have never really worked for me there so hopefully i start seeing more action.

So far, after looking over a few sites I'm bidding on...

77.ca and Mary.ca seem to be in a world all their own, while others like Bacon.ca, Cotton.ca, Swipe.ca, Australia.ca, RPT.ca, etc. are in the top-mid-range in terms of demand.

Some I am surprised are not getting more action include Washington.ca (not only a city but a popular name) and due to business use, both British.ca and Parliament.ca. Also, Davenport.ca is everyone as a biz name, as is Hillview.ca, which seems to be a popular name for anything senior-related (I guess Hill + View = sold).
