it's the content generated as a result of clever video editing software that allows people to super impose video clip of say the "head part only" of a person like say Donald Trump and put it on top of a Chicken or a Donkey.

or

maybe make the Pope look like he is reciting the Koran.

pretty much anything can be faked these days. but it's prevalent use is during election season. To "put words in your opponent's mouth" and then post the fake video on Facebook or Twitter and confuse people and make then react and ACT differently from what they originally would have.

I see deepfaked.com is regged.

for this it's either Deepfake.com or deepfakes.com that are real winners. anything else is just waste of money. unless we are talking .net or .org or even .co

and you can go short like Deeps.com Deeped.com or even DeepF.com could work. all taken all though that last one could be naughty.

I think there is a possibility that Deepfakes become more widely-known, and thereby a market could exist for Funny Deepfakes, Top Deepfakes, Deepfake Maker, Deepfake Detector, etc. I think if news cycles start reporting on Deepfakes, and especially if there were to be some scandals involving Deepfakes (well within the realm of possibility) there could be some domainers who could turn a nice profit.

I got deepfakes.net about 2 years ago.
Made a thread about it last year and was pretty much told to hold.
Got a kind offer but saw it too late.

Nobody knows. But there’s reason to believe “deepfake” will become a widely-known generic term for doctored videos in the not-too-far-off future. I’d wager that within the next two years it’ll be worth $x,xxx, because I think news of “deepfakes” will continue to spread.

I picked this up a few months ago, as it seemed to be a popular emerging term. Being 'fake free' is a strong statement for anyone starting or agreeing with a movement against deepfake, fake brand name items, fake news, liars, etc etc.
