Hi,

I backordered a domain name using Dynadot and was the only one ... after they caugth
it, it was automatically made public! Knowing that I was the only one that did a bid for it before expiration about 3 days ago.

And the worst, I found it trending on the first page !

I was able to purchase it using api service, will never trust dynadot again !

Your opinion please ?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
How do you know, that you are only the one?

I did a minimum bid and after they caught it... I was the only one bidder with my low bid price.

Use Dynadot LiveChat...
Many bidders place their backorder requests just within last hours...

We only list backordered domains for auction when more than one request is placed prior to the domain's release, could you please PM us to confirm your Dynadot username and the domain name in question so we could check that and advise further please?

When an auction is started it will show only 1 bidder, this is because only the first customer to place the request has a bid placed automatically and does not indicate the number of backorder requests placed prior to the domain's release, only the number of bidders on the auction itself.

There is many users here that experienced the same situation.

I already contacted you from email.

All of our backorder auctions would start with only one bidder, so the situation is common. All of our backorder auctions would have had more than one request for the same domain however, whenever we catch a backordered domain with only one request an order is created for that customer to pay for the backorder with no auction.

Thank you, we have replied to your message. I can confirm that there was 5 other backorder requests placed for the domain, these would have need to have been placed before the domain's cut off time or they would not have been accepted by our system, and the domain would have been removed from our backorder lists. The final backorder request we received was around 2 hours before the domain's 01:45am PST cut off time.
