This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

sold couple days ago.. 620$........ -20% fee.

street////smart
.io

gd makeoffer... no outobund ... handregged <1 yr

additional useful info:
another amazing feature of gd auctions (for those thinking listing on gd thru afternic may be good enough -- you are mising out on few features available only if you list also directly on gd -- such as push to 7 days auction, reviving old offers, completing slae on gd's brand new fast postsale system, and maybe couple more things i forget now...) is that you can revive (counter button) old offers in your account, and restart some negotiations. this I am sure creates millions in additional sales each year... for all... gd.. sellers.. buyrs... so great feature really! this particular sale happened in this revival way too.
few months ago buyer made offer of $20 (i set all my names to $20 min offr), I countered round 2k... no reply... then a week or so ago.. I revived this negotation and countered at 1k. he countered 150$... and we kept going til sale price. hope this additional info helps others make a few extra sales. had it not beeen for this revival ability on gd auctions, this sale would never occur. I revive some offers now and then, and even if onyl a few result in sales, its still worth the time and effort. to me. happy sales to all.

Fairly New And WITH this Result?
You are definitely in the right track

Congrats
I am fairly new to domaining and its been a great year to learn things.
few of my unreported sales from 2019.. nothing stellar though.

DAN
tax//spy.com 995
time//stall.com 995
nuro//safe.com 500

SEDO
keyword//boss.com 600
yak//pay.com 595
quantum//cloak.com 995

AFTERNIC
excel//equity.com 325
better//health.info 595
bitcoin//disk.com 500
bit//gram.org 500
track//blockchain.com 995
vr//ecstasy.com 500
first//chain.net 250

One thing I have noticed is although, I have all my domains directed to DAN, most of the sales have been on either SEDO or AFTERNIC. But DAN is a great tool to manage domains.

Small sedo sale: Backify in the king, $3250
held for 3 years, negotiations against a $4500 BIN. It was the first offer on this name.
[Backify was a backup company that developed a spam/scam reputation and later let the domain expire. I think I picked it up at dynadot 3 years back. Backi.fi and Backifi.com are already taken, the buyer MAY BE related or may have bought it to pitch it to them. Same geographical region.]

The name was backordered via park.io when they used to do backorders for .ai domains.

Sold NNNCapital dot com for $5,000 at DAN.com. NNN stands for "triple net", a real estate leaseback term. Buyer offered $1,000 to $1,500 variously, but we held our ground at $5,000 saying, "Our price is our price." Paid $28.99 for it in 2016 at a Pheenix auction where I was the lone bidder.

Entered into an agreement to sell Finbot dot ai for $9,750 over 60 months at DAN.com. Buyer has made payment 1/60. Who knows if they'll complete the rest? Paid $434 for it in January 2019 at .ai auctions.

Both of these transactions occurred within 48 hours of us testing all of our domain names at DAN.com for the first time. Pleased with the results so far. Especially intrigued by the payment plans.

Do You Know How The Buyer Got Your Email?

Thank you! I'm not sure, he must have checked the whois. The funny thing is that the domain had a Dan.com lander, he could have just sent me an offer there, but he preferred the communication via email.

Please do not type out the domain name.

Venue: Outbound, Linkedin
Purchase price: high $xxx
Held for just under two months.

This is my first time doing outbound on Linkedin, first lead using a Premium Sales Navigator trial. I’ve tried outbound via email sparingly before, but I assume it all ends up in spam. I’ll be using Linkedin a lot more from now!

Sale venue: DAN
Listing type: make offer
Listing upgrades: n/a
Seller: me
Sale price: $300
Purchase venue: handreg (maybe from my expired list)
Purchase price: ±$35 (plus 3 renewals)
Details:
on jan 24, i received first offer $150. i countered $3000.
then buyer countered back $300.
usually i'd counter back and be a bit greedy, but then i look for whois info for the domain name, apparently it has been registered since 2016, since this is the first offer since then(i supposed), i think it's better i just accept the counter offer.
