I just saw the sale of 4k.net which sold on December 25, 2019 for $10,099.
Now the same domain sold today for $5,099. That's 50% loss in value.

Was the domain earlier sold for a higher price or is this a huge depreciation that we are seeing?

What are your thoughts on this one?

Have you ruled out a non-payer? Same venue (Sedo), it seems a little suspect to me.

Also some buyers could get a bit desperate "holding the bag" especially if they overpaid in the first place.

One month later. I don't see any other evidence of these two sales being relevant.

Loss of value: domains don't have 5000 bidders bidding so that the name is priced perfect. Looks like one person decided that 4k.net was worth $10k one day and maybe he needed to sell later at whatever-he-could-get.
