1) Economy recovered despite the President Obama.

2) Congress writes the budget. In the past the President was grated a line-item veto. Now if he doesn't sign the bloated budget, the Gov shuts down and liberals whine about him destroying democracy.

I like how you answer your own question. The job he had would have certainly had many more qualified candidates at that salary.

And to answer your question again.... Jared and Ivanka got those jobs because they are related to the president, kinda the same way Hunter was related to the Vice-President. The important difference being they are working in the service of the United States, while Hunter was working in the service of a foreign party to influence the USA in their favor.

After Mitch McConnell and Lisa Murkowski met this morning, it was clear at the Senate GOP lunch that the votes are there to defeat a motion for additional witnesses and to move for an up-or-down vote on impeachment articles Friday.

If Sen Manchin votes to acquit, democrats will look like bigger fools thanks to Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler.

(Sounds like it was a construction-related timing glitch - wind gust came along before the concrete was dry - but funny nonetheless and a great metaphor for this presidency.)
