Is it really very important to have a landing page for your domain? If yes then what are the ways and approx price to have that and best hosting site. If no, will that affect your domain when you are going to sell it.
Thank you guys if you can just share brief views or experiences

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I’m a believer in creating landing pages for each domain. It allows me to control the content, capture leads, capture stats and more.

I use Clickfunnels for my LP’s... But that is only because I’m a long time user. If I was starting over I’d probably just use some basic Wordpress template and configure it like I want.

Good luck!

even just for landing page we have to go for hosting? I mean how much it cost approx. And if you have landing page can we sell domain direct to the buyer just by giving our contact details on the landing page?
thanks

I've started a few month ago to move my domain names from parking to WordPress Multisite.

I'm a bit more technical than the average domainers, but here are my reasons:
  • An unlimited shared WordPress hosting is pretty cheap.
  • Many hosting companies offer free SSL for each domain names
  • Google Analytics can collect all sorts of user behaviors info, time, city, and pages users visit
  • Each domain name can have the same template or different theme/content
  • Custom contact form or make-an-offer for each domains.
  • I could have Google Adsense, Affiliate Links or other revenue generator for domain
  • It is a lot more work but I know exactly how many visitors and who is making the offer.

firstly, answer is resounding YES. now you can have landing page free of cost in any of the registrars with market, like SEDO, DAN, EPIK etc amongst many more.
hope this helps.

Having a landing page by yourself will require you lots of work and some technical knowledge but there are many registrars and domain marketplace which offer you to have a landing page on your domain. Check Epik.com, Dan, Sedo, Afternic........

I think it is almost critical to have a landing page (possible exception where you have super-elite positive generic word in .com and the world will find you). Luckily you don't need pay a cent to have one. Your registrar will offer options if you have it listed for sale through them, or if you have it at a registrar without a marketplace you can without cost list it on Sedo, DAN or Afternic and only pay if the name sells in the form of a commission (check the rates and minimums, if any).

Best wishes,

Bob

Impressive, so what is the procedure if you can explain in brief, I mean starting from choosing a host.
If someone is interested to buy name from your website, It will take him to the registrar or you can sell just from your website? and what about the payment and commission of the registrar?
thanks for sharing this.

Having a landing page is the best way to let the world know that your domain is for sale.

Most people don't know what WHOIS lookups are, or even that domain name marketplaces exist. But everyone knows how to type a domain name into their browser. It is how many people check if a domain is taken or not. They are especially useful if you use a WHOIS privacy option because it gives people a better way to contact you.

You can list your domains at a place like DAN and have landers for each irrespective of where they are registered. There is no cost to list, but commission on sale. Your user profile will list all your domains at DAN in a list, but it is not as good for that as some other paid options like Efty. I mentioned DAN but you could similarly do them at Sedo or Afternic.

You don't necessarily need your landers all at same place. I have some at Afternic, DAN, Sedo, Epik, NameSilo, and Dynadot. The critical thing is that each domain has a lander somewhere.

A Landing page will get your interested prospect to a page where they can enter their contact details, name, email, contact number and a price they can offer (unless you have a buy it now offer)

You can also add a chat form, so that you can have a conversation with them, to do further negotiation.

Judging by the backlink at the footer of the page, that website is powered by DNHat. DNHat is being offered under three models.

1. Subscription model. DNHat is hosted by the developers. You pay on monthly basis. Nothing to download, nothing to install. It takes less than 1 hour to setup and running.

2. Self-hosted model. DNHat is hosted by you. You purchase a license for your domain, pay once. Any hosting plan goes.

3. Centralized Ad Server for traffic monetization, with paid ads from legit advertisers. Standard native ads, not like those "gibberish" links you see on parked domains.

I'm not sure the version the website uses, may be @Altoz should come forward to shed more light.

It's simple buddy, if you have knowledge. I learn the hard way and will be glad to share it with you:

Registrar: Epik.com - are the cheapest of them all, with most features - escrow service, market place, perfect support etc.
Personally, I am super happy being with them.
Once you have your registrar and 1st doman, then you have couple of options.
1) Select established market place as suggested by few people (I don't like is the most of them needs you change NS record to them and that is stopper for me)
or
2) Do what I did. Let genius brain IT guy and domainer come up with elegant working solution with incredible futures. I look left, right and over for long time and then I decided to go with DNhat.com (I am not working for them or get any commission at all. I just love the setup, support, all of the features, easy to setup and use.
Basically the guys did ALL the thinking and work for you. You just fill the fields and it;s all go.
In my opinion the logos are must!
Once you enter all your domains, then go back to your registrar and redirect URL to particular domain the your selling (easy with Epik). That means, everytime someone type your domain you are selling, the landing page will show up with all the info. For better idea just check my site

I chose the hosted version and here is why:
a) it's already setup and working - just fill in your sh..t
b) don't have to worry about security - I trust the owner and creator ( got hack twice before and hate it)
c) you have full control of your site, look, colour etc
d) beautiful, easy, elegant, professional and the most - it's working flowesly.
e) actually, you don't need hosting
f) you will not need to pay commission to anybody!

I believe that because of that I sold my domain in just 2 months being with them.

This is my opinion and I hope I did not offend anyone from registrars or markets.

Have fun and prosperous domaining!

I already have two domains with epik, and both of them parked there and earn some cents there. but I don't know that landing page is different from parking page? and if you have domains with other registrar and you list them on epik, do we need to direct DNS there or they still provide landing page without directing it. and thank you for sharing above information, and of course you have good website.
