DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

Undeveloped was good for me
I loved it

since DAN it has slowed down

I don't say I know it's because of the changes
but I have no way to test if it was due to the changes or not.

I have trusted DAN to really test stuff before changes
but for my german traffic/customers
I have a hard time to imagine that the actual version
was the best performing version of all times

I can say for sure:
nobody of my customers
liked the idea of
downpayment/leasing

they all want to buy for cheap
but not pay in installments

I'd love to have installment payments
but nobody loves to pay them

I had only 1 successfully finalized downpayment sale ever
and the last 2 payments I had to enforce

I once had a $6500 offer on a domain
and he had chosen a lease plan of $178 USD / month
he paid exactly 1 month

Another payment plan for about $9 USD / month went ok for 3 month before canceled

thats my payment plan experience of 19 years domaining

You can check the box that most fits your needs, simple and painless process, when you are done, click "SAVE" at the very bottom or your options will appear as they currently are without change.

You can turn everything off or on.
no you can't turn off the boxes

no you can't turn off the boxes

I just checked yes or no on them, Show your sales, yes or no, then use the java box drop down and choose what status you want, they have like 4 or 5 status choices.

exactly what options are you speaking of that you can't check yes or no on Frank ??

You have the "Don't show at all" option on a lot of them,.

On the installment deal you are talking about, why not just either check , "No Installments" or "Old Installment method" wouldn't that take care of your concerns regarding Installments???

Peeps, Go through ALL your "Settings Tabs".

Account
Seller Profile
For Sale Page
Billing Details
Privacy

Go through each detail. Check the appropriate boxes that fit what you want and what you don't want, i think you will find that you can change everything to your liking.

Awww, I see Frank, I think you can disable the "Live Support widget" to do that go to your Sales tab, scroll down to where it say "Redirect your buyers to your internal marketplace for sale pages" right before your Google Analytics entry box , uncheck that box, that should take away the live support on the right box in your pic.

On your "seller widget" on the left side, i think if you go to "Privacy" tab, then look for the "Public Profile" box, if you select "Disable links to my public profile on all my For Sale pages" i think that will remove your "seller profile widget"

NVM, i tried those two Frank, didn't take either of the widgets away you want removed, unless my cache is that thick.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if those two widgets weren't there either, they aren't horrible, but could go away.

Oddly enough, I have both the boxes Unchecked, that you have checked, but we both get the same result with the two widgets you don't want to appear. I would think removing the widgets all together would be easier than coding in another option to enable and disable the widgets,

I guess the problem is that DAN loves those boxes
and is somehow convinced that it will enhance conversions

I doubt that

I agree, i don't see the widget boxes enticing more conversions.

Under Account Settings, you can change email and password.
Changing email should change login ID.
Normally.

re: the information displayed in your "trusted seller" box, Imo I'm still forced to choose which metrics I dislike the least out of the six options they provide.

I don't want that data out there, plain and simple. Wish it were an opt-in feature like traffic stats -- I personally don't know the difference?

**and yes, the domain expert quotes could be better -- they are awkward imo.

Apart from critiques on the new landers, I think searchability of your profile should be rethought. Highest price first, or .com at a minimum.

Thanks for your considerations in advance..

Very pleased with Dan.com, just want to flag up a point about domain pages.

I've noticed that if you delete a domain from Dan.com it still has a page there that says it has been deleted. Similarly, when a domain is sold it displays a page saying it has been sold. Even if you change DNS those pages can still be seen at Dan.com urls, possibly findable also by Google and by searching on Dan.com. How long does that continue?

I would prefer it if in those cases the domain page did not do that, just redirected somewhere or gave no info specific to that domain. By default I would like domain sales not published unless publication is actively agreed to.

On Sedo, in my experience, and possibly on other platforms in this situation the domain, if still pointed to Sedo, just redirects to a page offering their brokerage services to aquire it! If the domain has just sold, it may not have even changed hands yet.
Good morning Carob,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

The pages do exist but disappear over time. It does not take long before these pages get deindexed by search engines such as Google.

Have a great week!

Good morning all,

We understand the concerns new changes can bring at the beginning. However, please bear in mind that this will not be the definite version. While using the new lease to own feature and our landing pages we will continuously improve the options available.

Regardless, the complaints stated about the domain seller/expert boxes have all been noted. We have acted fast based upon your response and made it possible to select your own values. However, it is not possible to disable these boxes. You might not envision it now but as stated before, our account managers and support desk encounter hundreds upon hundreds of conversations with your buyers each and every day. These representatives encounter and tackle all the questions your buyers have before proceeding with their purchase. Based on these frequently asked questions the new boxes, amongst others, have been added. In essence, it will only ensure more doubts are taken away instead of getting created.

Have a great week.
