Hi guys

Anyone here written drop catching scripts for cc tlds? Impossible in English with dropcatch, snap etc but I am thinking would have a better chance with cc tlds.

I am interesting getting for the reg fee rather than backordering but but sure what resources the cc tlds drop catch guys have.

You must be a dream customer of every drop catcher. - You want to get for reg fee :)

This day, even catching cc TLDs requires a lot of time/money. Servers, scripts. A lot of guys have done it for years, catching up with them takes at least 6 months or more. Sometimes it's not even possible.

This is true, atleast for most major ccTLDs.

So you think I would be better off just back ordering rather than getting a load of apis?

We currently have over 6k domains for seo so I am not afraid of investment if it means I can catch domains with better metrics. By this I would rather have 2 or 3k stronger domains with good metrics compared to our current 6k weaker ones.

My advice is to use existing services.
You can invest and still not get the good ones.
Maybe there are some smaller cc TLD-s worth looking into. But all the bigger cc-TLDs not worth it. At least not by starting from zero.
I have heard more and more about registries starting to use auction systems to deal with dropping domains. who pays more gets the domain. .ee using it already. And others will follow.

I look at pending delete lists in expireddomains .net and see all sorts of stuff that I would like .de .pl .es .se it really depends.

I know if I went to make a drop catcher in all these tlds it would require a lot of resources to become a registrar multiple times in any given tld to become competitive. If there is anyone here in that game I would love to here the cost.

Im actively involved in the co.za market as I am from South Africa. The competition is fierce.

I am sure everyone will give up secrets :)

.fi catching at one point we discussed with a partner if he should move our servers to Ficoras datacenter to get some edge.

competition in .se is crazy for example

.uk - grazy, some Bulgarian has 17 TAG-s already.

In .fi I have more than 3 registrars, I lose daily to competitor. + over 1-year script development.

You too late, should have started at least 5 years ago, maybe 10

For SEO it is all about the backlinks. So the told can be anything as long as the link profile is strong.

Regarding .co, they can be reserved at the registry directly if following some rules and that the timming is good.
Not yet implemented at Epik, but we likely can reserve a name for someone :)
Other accredited registrars might be able to do it too if they enabled it with the registry

We can pretty much catch any CCTLD unless big players are involved (Park,DD etc) We use reseller ID and our own developed script and automation tool. You can start with doing basic API call.RRProxy is a good API platform if you are looking to just start.

Already use rrrproxy and dynadot + a few others but these 2 seem to win the most

They dont give the kind of horsepower that they keep for themselves. If you have a perticular CCTLD in mind become a registrar and then you have fair share (Still cant beat the biggies)
