debate Are .biz names even worth it anymore?

So maybe i am still in the mind set of 10 years ago where i thought .biz was a great extension and a lot of companies used it.

Nowadays i have .biz names like bitcoinprofit.biz that means nothing, seems very little sales, and now i am wondering whether to save bitcoinmerchants.biz back from expiry for 100 dollars. Your thoughts guys>?

I personally don't think so. Imho..

Back in the day when there were less extensions it was worth hoovering them up. So com,net,org,info,biz,us.

But not anymore unless it's super premium... Even then it's a gamble. The landscape has completely changed with the dawn of the new gTLDs. Nobody is going to buy a .biz for a premium price tag when they have the choice of the same in 100+ other extensions.

I think you have to be extremely lucky to sell a premium .biz domain, at all. I think you have zero chance of selling crappy .biz domains like bitcoinprofits.biz and bitcoinmerchants.biz. IMHO.

Look in the linked thread above. Homes.Biz sold for $2223 on GoDaddy in May. You cannot get much more premium than that. In .com/.net/.org its probably worth 5-7 figures.

There are still some sales in 4 figures for single rich keywords as per nameBio. You can actually get them for cheap in such extensions. But not for the names you own. Consider it a very risky investment.IMO.

It is best to not invest in .biz unless you come across a super premium .biz domain, like business.biz or stocks.biz.
I have a very good .biz domain but I didn't manage to sell it even though I own it for about 4 years.
So even if the domain is a real premium .biz it will take a long time to sell it if at all.

New folder new niche or new country a new domain.
