The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you get the thanks, great. But I wouldn't necessarily expect it, I mean this site is viewed by anyone even random people who don't have accounts.

Generally most members here aren't shy about showing their appreciation, I have found.

Not sure what you mean about unthankful. Are you referring to telling of an available name and someone took it and didn’t thank you ? Nobody knows who did the registration and if it had to do with your post or the general knowledge of the publicized sale.

This is a competitive business. You aren’t likely to get too many thanks on a name you passed over.

I guess some domainer have a very clear strategy dont disclose anything...what they bought..what they reg..what they have... what they sold..all those info is undisclosed for them...so...better understand them..dont expect the like or thanks from them...they are not unthanksful...they just dont want other people know...

why I have this guess? some time I also want play in this way...even in most case I am very transparent.

you have one “like” in one of your OP posts..

maybe this person, @Blitzpotz one kindest, neutral, and compassionate Np members, assumed his “like” applied to both names;

then registered both at dynadot for $6.99 sale, thanks to your helpful hat tip.

i think most people “hate” domainers and “hate” is a STRONG word, because of the high-pressure sales tactics some broker bs

i made a soft inquiry on a name i considered;
and was told;
“only ‘qualified offers’ $2,500+ to b considered”
“this is NOT the final price..” LOL

pissed me off, i’d hate domainer (brokers?) too (!!) jus b straight forefront :ROFL: no games or bs... ‘qualified’ to be considered final will be higher, that’s a new one...

anyway.. I dont “hate” domainers or brokers nor do i think; most people..

Good evening.

I was the 7th reader of @BrandCollectors.com post about MercuryCard and MercuryLoan if I remember correctly. I waited a short time after reading because before I had written about domain hoarding blaming myself and asking if it´s ok or not (Epik availables thread).
Then I went over to DD and took the .com. I did not register the .xyz.

Blitzpotz is a good person and Epik fan I do not think he is regd it with dyna. if it's so it's OK.
Thank you. Yes I like Epik and I like Rob´s freshness and entrepreneur style but I am customer and "fan" of nearly any other provider, too. As a smaller domainer I have to follow the money not in the usual sense to make big profits and ride the momentum (wished if so) but to use promes like the one on DD.

As a sign of being involved I liked the OP´s post at once, planning to post more than just (y) later but first followed my instinct to check available coms in this field. I found and took saturncredit, cryptopluto, neptunewallet, uranuscard dot com. Regarding my other post and a good balance between thanking enough and not showing off with possible crap I was thinking how to do.

I tend do disclose too much I believe, just as a principle. I read the last posts in the completed sales thread anytime after the mercuryloan reg because I like people taking their time and sharing valuable information. About two weeks ago there was another single thread about a young domainer sharing his success as a domain seller and broker. There was so much hate, hubris and ignorance against this guy and his story by a strong minority just because he used one false word. Since then I am thinking a lot about which content to be posted in this forum. This process continues and let me reflect more than necessary about texts. But now look where you have me thanks to this thread: I am stealing you guys time with a boring short story.

In the meantime other elements of life took my time, a washing machine, a misunderstood Namepros DM, several WhatsApp messages, a Pizza delivery, a Handball European Championship match on TV and a short unplanned nap on my sofa before answering an impatient Namepros seller sharing my Godaddy push data. (Who will now become increasingly angry about my missing payment. The next thread?)

Well, regarding the headline, I wouldn´t say that domainers in general are unthankful and I would negate being that myself. But true is that we are a strange species of humans, aren´t we?

One interesting thing about this thread is: Imagine the original availability post is a crime and my like is my DNA. Police asks to tell them exactly where you have been since then and now. It is not that easy!
