Need some opinions here.

Never used either registrar but I need to because the domain I want to reg requires me to have a trustee.

Netim seems to have cheaper costs but Marcaria seems to have more trust, from what I read.

Anybody have experience with either company?

fyi. Marcaria is a pain in the ass for when you eventually want to transfer out or sell a domain and transfer out.

if you plan on saving money by transferring here and there Marcaria will be an issue. plan your time accordingly as receiving your auth codes to transfer will be a HASSLE to say the least. They got me this time around and stuck.

next time I'll make sure to transfer out at least 3 months before. give time to get auth codes.

also there is the issue of transferring domains with trustee services.

it's kinda like driving a car without a insurance. you paid for it. but just waiting for the actual insurance card.

the hassle with transferring out also includes the switching of trustees.
Good luck

I appreciate the reply. Ok so my plan is to use this domain for a business and have 0 intention of selling or transferring. I'm looking for the safest and most trusted option for this case. By next year I will be legally entitled to own the domain without a trustee, but for now I need one.

I've never used a trustee service and I just want to make sure that I actually own this domain name if I use a trustee and nobody will be allowed to take it from me.

What extension are we talking? I've been using netim for years without any issues. Backend is a bit old fashioned but it does the job. Not using their trustee services though.

Use Netim...
Not ideal but good registrar.

Nice extension. Would work well for an end-user. Never used one, didn't know that was the Croatia ccTLD. Still learning after all these years ;)

Like I said, Netim works fine but like any registrar it may depend on the TLD. Might be good to try and connect with Croatian people to get recommendations.

And if I recall correctly - Netim doesn't provide any trustee.
So in this case you may try EuroDNS...

Thanks.
Probably, they added Trustee just recently...
Because when I asked them in the past about .IT trustee - they were not able to provide it.

Ok so Netim seems to be suggested by people here but not by anybody who's actually used them with the trustee service so far?
I use Netim as their RESELLER for many years... but never their Trustee because they didn't provide it previously.

I was under the impression your are EU located :) If you ever need a workaround, get in touch and I'll happily help you out with a registrant address.

Thanks! I will keep in mind...
Yes, Ukraine is not among EU members...

I guess, Netim will provide you only Admin contact... they will not replace Registrant.
Ask Netim before any .HR registration...

Maybe this might be why Marcaria is more expensive? They offer both?

I suspect OP might be looking at this extension for a hack domain or a play on HR (Human Resources)? maybe?

After speaking to Marcaria support, it looks like they're the best option for me. Thanks for the help everybody.

Just bumping this to ask if anyone knows whether Netim allows to expediate transfers-out or do you have to wait those 4-6 days? Because I am considering using them since they offer so many ccTLDs.

Thanks.
