I always find January to be a great month for domain name sales as many (wannabe) entrepreneurs have come up with new businesses ideas, projects, products or services over the holiday period which results in increased traffic and interest in good domain names.

I thought it would be fun to share which domains of yours were the first ones to receive some love in this new decade. Feel free to share any details such as the offer, country of the interested party or if the inquiry has led to a sale.

I'll start:

All received on January 2nd.

Brisk/io - price request
BadMonkey/com - price request
MoralSupport/com - price request

Interesting. Who was your broker?

I just wonder if you're confusing having a broker work for you with listing and selling on the GoDaddy site? (2 different things)

Regardless.... good job!

Nope, this was not a broker working "for me". This was a broker working with GoDaddy that hit me via the account email directly, which wasn't public. So they got the info from them. The domain wasn't listed, but I recently bought it at an GD auction.

I was just saying they also go for lower value domains. Guess it depends on their customer.

that looks like my buyer of vapy.de
took about 6 weeks for him to pay

so stay polite and patient

Six weeks is insanely long time to pay up $1200, that too for a UAE citizen.
Thanks for the suggestion.

are all your domains without privacy on Whois?

Most of my names are without privacy and I have sold many names via direct inquiries over the years - As for spam mail, my filter manages most

What about your phone # ? I get a ton of phone calls from web development companies.

Or do you not have your phone number associated with your Whois?

my phone has an ignore function
as much as namepros
as much as my gmail has a spam filter

You have a broker at GoDaddy working for you? I thought they only supplied brokers for high priced domains. What is your asking price for m y y o?

A broker contacted me directly on behalf of a client.

Interestingly someone registered go-shops .com and offering it for sale at Dan after seeing this.

Happens all the time from the sales thread, I've seen numbers of Hypnated names reg'd after a sale report! just PRAYING they don't find and spam the buyer

1 January I recived a offer for em88 of $1200 via Afternic - It was listed with a $2000 BIN and I made a $1700 counter offer and it sold.

2 January I got a direct inquiry via Whois on a Bitcoin name for $3000 which is listed with $9000 BIN at Afternic and I gave a $7000 counter offer but haven't heard from the bidder since

2 Januar I sold a name via SquadHelp for $1999 (beeing paid via 6 month instalment plan)

So all in all a good start to 2020 - Good luck to everyone

January continues to give - Yesterday I sold Greensup through afternic BIN (1.5K) and today I sold CapitalSide for 2K through BP (both bought via closeout)

Finally got a decent inquiry - price request from a GD broker today.

5L domain, brandable 2-word, min offer was 1K (just for weeding off lowballers). Pitched him a high x,xxx range, reaction ok, now awaiting customer response.

My best hand registration that I know of was (Gratuita.ORG) which means (Free) in Spanish Language! After a few days after I had registered it I was approached by a Domain Industry Expert who wanted to buy it from me! But It was in October of last year!
