I haven't used them yet but I noticed they have .com for $5.95 and are icann accredited.

I noticed another member has been registering names with them.

Anyone have feedback about them?

@twiki Can you share your experience so far?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I landed on a domain today

http://maplebetting.com/ (not one of mine)

The for sale lander looked really nice.

The click through was nice and clean....

And the domain pricing was very nice

It's a new registrar, it appears they bought NameKing but I do not have precise information. Been using them though, it's ok, no bulk update for domains so you have to do everything one by one.

That's why I left my last registrar and moved to godaddy, bulk tools are everything. I renewed almost 200 domains for January and February today and I could not imagine doing that without bulk tools,.

In my opinion, SAV's landers are far too similar to DAN's, just like Epik's TrustRatings is a copy of TrustPilot. Having said that, it is always nice to see new service providers.

A bit confusing that there is also a new domain company based at the almost similar domain SAW.com, by the way. I know SAW are brokers, but I already get these two confused.

As for TrustRatings, a design update is on the way.

One of the challenges of giving developers a vague spec, is that the lazy ones will study the benchmark competitor and rather than being inspired by them, they may go beyond that.

As for Anthos, since he has historically been more of a domainer (a great one!) than a software developer, I am going to guess he gave his engineering team a very loose spec, and this was a result.

Knowing Anthos, he moved very quickly, but will clean this up in short order.

I requested this feature for my domains and they declined saying it's coming soon for everyone.
But everyday I see freshly registered domains that are being sold on sav landers.
It means there are some clients who enjoy more privileged access to their services.
I do not think it is a good approach. Not professional imho

Much like the way many new services are launched, our premium domain marketplace is in private beta at the moment. We are down to the last few dev items - working out the kinks in the fulfillment process and getting seller payments in place. We want to ensure the service is perfect before we make it available to everyone.

If this is similar to DAN / Epik (regarding sales process & fees) I'll be checking it out

Do you have a launch date? You wrote shortly after New year. Already second week of they year started. We, your clients, are losing time 😎

There is no specific date yet as the underwriting process for merchant payouts is outside of our control. However, we are aiming for later in the week of the 27th-31st of Jan.

We will share all the details on namePros when we launch!
Please do not forget about Afternic/Sedo integration. Good landers for own traffic + Distribution to external channels is the key!

Also, Ability To Buy With Paypal

We tend to take more of an agile approach where we launch the core of a product then keep iterating to improve. Paypal and Afternic/Sedo are all planned future iterations.

Can we register custom nameservers at SAV? I tend to use ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com as nameservers for mydomain.com in some cases.

Good approach.

Smaller milestones, say 1-2 weeks iterations are best but it depends on the model.

Send an email to support(at)sav.com and we can set those up for you.

Hello All. We are looking at different methods for adding domains for sale, editing prices and delisting domains and want to make it as efficient as possible to use. How does everyone in this thread prefer to manage their domains listed for sale? (web interface where domains are managed individually, spreadsheet upload, API, etc...)

These issues are secondary. Bulk upload + bulk setup / changes using GUI at least.
Primary issues: transfer automation, sedo/afternic integration, payment methods (in and out).

FWIW, I have noticed Sav with some big nameserver changes...

Current nameserver total according to dailychanges = 248,150

....

I registered my first domains with them on November 2nd (receipt #3XX); as of December 16th (receipt #17XX).

I recently sold a domain registered with them under 60 day transfer lock via Dan. Buyer was able to create account and recieve domain push. Sale completed with no hiccups.

Additionally, they provide instant AUTH codes via their UI.

Negative, is I don't think they don't offer grace delete refunds. I had backordered a typo, and received a exception to policy grace delete refund.

Other than that, Sav has been great. Support has been responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable thus far.

Hi, Grilled!
I could not message you directly, can you please explain how this works? Selling a freshly registered domain under 60 days on DAN please! Please dm me.

Anyone knows this? @sav people?

This is my new favorite registrar! And they're just getting started.

My only suggestion is that they add bulk options. Very time consuming doing everything one by one.

Keep up the great work and awesome prices!
