Hey guys,

I have 100-some domains (mix of niches, TLDs, patterns) that I've set to Afternic and forgot about. For a period they were at Sedo, and saw ~10k/month direct traffic between them.

I'm trying to decide if I should:
  1. List on Flippa, Sedo, Afternic, Voodoo, ParkingCrew, Uniregistry, GoDaddy set to Make Offer. Choose one venue to park domains at with a high BIN. - easiest
  2. Build a dynamic landing page and host personally (similar to a small BrandBucket-style) Track with Analytics, add AdSense or CPC offers as relevant. - time-consuming
  3. Build one-off CPA-driven landing pages/sites; market, monetize. - most time-consuming
Ultimately I'd like to:
  • Track views/clicks to build historical records for traffic
  • Minimize development needed to create/maintain
  • Minimize cost to own with hosting or membership fees
What would you do?

Thanks @Avtar629. I've used WPRobot before and think it could be a good route.

Trying to decide whether it's worth building lots of sites out, or a simpler route exists to take advantage of the sites without having to do marketing and more legwork.

I would first figure out how to boost rank of each.

1. Try to reg domains with good amount of backlinks that expired. Might get lucky. Create a PBN link to your other domains boost their rank.

Have stuff on it using WProbot.

If you must buy backlinks. With good DA.

Year later sell on Flippa.

Rinse and repeat.

As always just watch your expenditures.

Park at Epik.com, add basic content/optimization to the page. Domains get indexed and with enough content could rank for lesser competitive keywords. You can cross-link all your domains without needing to handle databases. All domains get SSL certificates too.

Adding google analytics is super easy too, just one step basically. I parked 4,000 domains in about two hours doing 200 at a time.

Thanks @Avtar629 and @DanSanchez. Sounds like the popular opinion is building sites out for each domain. As much as I'd like to be able to simplify and streamline, I'll likely go that route to build some rankings and make for more appealing properties.

If only there was a killer industry-neutral evergreen high paying CPI offer I could redirect them all too :P

The only way to do that at scale is to deploy individual sites or park at Epik. All my domains get indexed and you have full SEO control over the pages. If you have enough sites we can assign a unique IP to your batch so the efforts are compounded. You can list them for sale or monetize the traffic later, and change in between those two seamlessly.
