I believe in all of my sales on Dan (@DAN.COM) and Afternic (@Afternic) my buyers received some sort of a closing document specifying the parties. Or am a wrong?

Is there at all a way for a private person to stay anonymous if he wants to?

Bodis + Escrow (Dan, Sedo)?

But then again, it looks like both parties are specified in the closing papers.

Any threads on this?

Thank you guys for your thoughts!

I have seen listings on Dan by "private seller" which got me curious. Maybe some members can share on this or try contacting Dan.

Private seller, correct, but your private details are still stated in the closing docs.

As far as I understand.

I think at Dan you could use a fake name (and receive payments in crypto). Epik is most likely able to anonymize your deal. Or use a broker with Escrow.com.

I know both parties receive documents on DAN.
But is it the case with Afternic? I've never received sale notification and payout emails, no invoice.

We should be able to anonymize the transaction and not disclose anything to both parties
When we process an escrow transaction it works that way, basically :
- We (Epik) receive funds from the buyer
- Epik buys the domain from the seller and receives it
- We then sell the domain to the buyer and deliver it
At no time, both parties are involved at the same time, so making it entirely anonymized should be ok (Only Epik will know both parties)

Mentionning Jessica and Dan to develop further on the subject :)

Me too, no papers on Afternic, but, surely, the buyer, in case he was a legal entity and would like to receive the papers for his accounting, would get such papers.

How cool. Are there any specific steps to take when registering the name at Epik to ensure the deal, if it takes place, goes as you described?

When starting the deal, get in touch with our team from the Epik site and we will take care of setting it up from our side :)

Yep, if you want a fully private sale use the Epik team. Rob has expressed his belief in privacy here more than once and I would expect nothing less from his company.

However, this privacy stuff may have country implications and requirements. I should think both parties having an account at Epik would be helpful.

Epik really adds value with this then

The fastest way is to go to epik.com and use the chat function...or use the contact form on the site.
