"Psilocybin is not addictive, does not lead to overdoses and is not thought to have long-term side effects, research has shown. It is a naturally occurring compound in some fungi. A number of studies have shown positive effects on people addicted to opioids, alcohol or tobacco, as well as diminished depression and anxiety. Researchers have found such benefits to mushrooms that the Food and Drug Administration has granted “breakthrough therapy” status to study psilocybin for treating depression. The FDA describes breakthrough therapy as designed to expedite development of a drug after preliminary evidence shows “the drug may demonstrate substantial improvement over available therapy.”

2020 will have a steady flow of continued news involving Psychedelics. The simple fact the "main stream media" is now starting to cover it is a pretty positive sign. If you know , you know and need ZERO convincing.

Science + Nature will blow the doors off BigPharma ....

If your not excited by this , well crawl back under your doubt rock and close yo eyes cause the walls are about to crumble.

Aloha Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a mycologist, I'd pay attention to the shortener, myco, as it retains brandability and relevancy throughout.

I can see brands building largely off of the all-encompassing 'myco' term.

@Mary Muse your a Mycologist ? any link to your site or work ?

IMO...... Just like any niche , any new company developing a New Brand can choose to use ANY term !! To say one over the other is just a little far stretched guess work imo.

This will take some time to see the Recreational Market develop. Strictly Pharmaceutical right now.

We are in the starting faze of what is to come, a Revolutionary Pharmaceutical shift towards the use of Psychedelics in treating numerous life threatening illnesses. These Psychedelics will CURE more then Treat.

Again, why I find it extremely difficult to put a tac on the tail with this niche. Pharmaceutical Companies will choose to name their brand anything they like. These Companies DO NOT NEED to think like Domainers. They can either abbreviate, use the "long" term EMD or just call their product , companies anything they like.

Braking apart Key words for the short made up abbreviations is again , anyones guess work. Claiming to know what will be used is not the right way to inform others. imo

Paul Stamets , unquestionably the worlds leading mycologist uses Fungi.com for his site.

I cant stress enough. Look online. There a hand full of successful business with solid footprints online all ready. These companies sell the needed materials to start your own grows. Not sure if everyone is aware of that ? No one has even mentioned what they all ready use and have used in terms of names over the years.

This is such an interesting field to delve into.
After the Pharmaceutical companies develop , after all the Clinical Trials are finished , after all the road work is laid out will we then and only then begin to see the Recreational Market begin to legally form.

What we do have is a well rounded informative map to go off of. The Cannabis Industry has clear cut the forest, showing developers what mistakes to avoid and what steps to take in order to steer clear of the long costly mistakes. They all ready know how to succeed and they know how to avoid failure. . Really great reads out there on this. The entire Decriminalize Nature movement is radically shit.

Hope everyone has great success with their investments.

Seriously? I share when and what I want.

WoW.
R u insulted I asked u to share your experience and expertise in the Mycology Field ?????
Not a popular choice of study , so as a contributor to any topic , claiming expertise in the conversation would just assume you would have more to say. Maybe ?
IDK just wondering what an "Expert" has to say. Normal procedure in conversation , again im only assuming you have a great deal of useful information to share with the group.
Sorry you were insulted by that.

I will just say that the mushrooms pictured here are incorrectly identified. They definitely aren't Liberty Caps, which are Psilocybe semilanceata.

I would say they are another active mushroom, like Panaeolus cyanescens..

but i never identified them ? :)

I know! You asked for my "expertise" and that's what I'm willing to contribute so far in that arena, lol.

At a quick glance, I don't agree with the photo's label of "liberty caps" -- could be either Psathyrella, Panaeolus, or Parasola, but I haven't given it a close look.

Either way, my only advice is to NEVER go out an try and find your own without an expert.

I use psilocybin-containing mushrooms for depression. I don't microdose -- I prefer a large dose every 2 months or so, which provides a much needed reset for me.

Psilocybin is just one of many wonderful contributing alkaloids..
