When you send them a bunch of domains to add, do you submit any proof of ownership?

I only use their “live” chat for this purpose and it always takes maximum 24 hours (also on weekends). I do send screenshots to prove I’m the new owner.

I hope @DAN.COM will implement something similar to Sedo’s TXT verification.
I always use their contact form to inform them that I am the new owner of the domains. They add it to my portfolio. Have never been asked to prove ownership uptil now for 100s of domains I must have requested them to add.

Yes one has to see the benefits and what they are actually using a service for. I think if you like the landing pages better and 9% commission, installment plans, things where I personally believe DAN is far superior to Sedo.

For Sedo they are a marketplace with a lot of people checking the place out daily and have traffic and brokers. They have far more traffic of potential buyers compared to DAN.

People keep moving around thinking there is some magic pill, the magic pill is to own good to very good to great domain names. No application is going to help you sell LibraCBDStadia.com

I just did it automatically at DAN and Afternic. And some time ago the Afternic team told me they don't need any proof, so I stopped doing that. Based on your comments alone I should stop sending screenshots at DAN too :xf.wink:

@DAN.COM Can you confirm what's the best approach for the above? Does proof of ownership speed up anything?

Not applicable to what I discuss here. I only use DAN for transaction processing and domain ownership change since I can't use Escrow.com any longer.

And even when I used Escrow.com, I preferred DAN (and Epik) for selling low $x,xxx domains in installments. Escrow.com is expensive for that.

I used to have alot of sales from dan.com this years, but in the last about 3 or 4 weeks, it's very rare.

I wonder is it because new payment system or what since i think the landing page is the same. Or is it just i got unlucky. But it is very strange that if you got good sales in 11 months in a row but not for the last 1 month.

I got about 5 offer that i accepted but no one that paid.

I wonder if the rebranding to dan.com affects the sales

they had just made a name for the brand "underveloped" and established some trust
and now its called dan.com and the brand "undeveloped" is disappearing

maybe thats a problem

I'd love to test the old version versus the new version

Just sold name via Dan, they paid me same day and got money next day with international wire. Fastest transaction on Dan ever. It usually takes 3-5 days with wire payment.
It's really hard to beat such a smooth experience.

I don't think that's the reason, actually my sales increase after it become dan.com, but not for the last months.

FYI @DAN.COM - If using an ad blocker extension in browser, the DAN "chat" feature/icon does not show up on the domain sale page. When the ad blocker (tested w/ AdGuard) extension is disabled, the chat feature shows up. Might want to change the code for the chat so that it is not affected by ad blockers?

Feature suggestion for dan.com user settings > Let us create different description templates so we can easily bulk edit descriptions for domains in portfolio rather than each one manually. And use some sort of shortcode for the domain so domain will automatically show correct for each description... aka... "[domain] is listed for sale! Make an offer or buy it now. etc.".

Also, is there a way we can remove the DAN.com references in the page source meta <title> and <description> ? If not would be nice if that were an option. Seem fair for a 15% commission...

Commission on DAN.com is 9%. If you bring your own lead the commission is 5%.

@DAN.COM - I have USD set as my preferred currency in profile settings, but the currency on the domain portfolio is showing Euro in the search filter. Not a huge deal, but would be ideal if domain search filter showed the preferred currency of the seller.

Commission on DAN.com is 9%. If you bring your own lead the commission is 5%.
Thanks for clarifying. Still would be nice option not to have DAN.com in the title & description meta on the domain for sale parked page hosted by DAN.

For a company that's significantly younger than Sedo, we're doing pretty good in terms of attracting continuously more buyers directly to our marketplace.

The word spreads quite fast and our TrustPilot reviews show why buyers keep coming back to DAN when they need a domain.

We see some buyer brokers even exclusively only purchasing domains via DAN due to the effective processes we have in place.

The above is just a snapshot. 6 months ago we didn't attract this many buyers and in 6 months we'll likely attract at least 20% more buyers to our marketplace. We keep increasing our investment in DAN to increase our marketplace efficiency & liquidity.

I totally agree with you @DAN.COM in terms of sales and popularity.

Since last 6 months you messed your search algorythm in such a way that some extensions(.xyz) would never show in first pages. All they were showing garbage extensions.

I used to have some good sales.

Now,I lost hope on DAN due to your favourism on some extensions.

And their Chat has nothing to do with their code...
They use 3rd-party Intercom chat widget - which is banned by many adblockers... that's why it is not displayed.
