@Gube I think there should be some clarification about the transfers. As I understand it, when you transfer a domain name over to epik you recieve an additional 1 yr renewal. That only seems to work when I transfer a.com. if you transfer a non .com I never see the one year additional renewal added.

This shouldn't be the case, which TLD are you trying to transfer ?
If the transfer cost is 0, like for .co.uk, we don't add one year when transfering the domain, the same might happen for virtual TLDs
