Congratulations on your sale. This afternoon I received an unexpected voicemail EPIK PROMO from Sarah. The call was full of wonderful details and excellent deals for EPIK members :xf.wink:.

Sorry @Rob Monster my point is ,want to know if i move my domains to your platform how fast i will be able to sell my domains.

Your profile shows you’re on the forum since 2014, but this is probably the most stupid question I’ve seen here.

Congratulations!

I wish I could say the same for the 'middleman' (not Epik) used on a transaction they say was paid on Monday 25th (Price agreed on Thursday 21st) ! No funds in my account as of Wednesday 27th night despite buyer/agent/seller all being on the European continent and it only being a £1200 sale. I was told Wednesday 27th it could take 5 working days. Customers pay me by wire transfer from Malaysia and the funds arrive in my UK bank account within 2hrs, but these agents tell me £1200 transfer within Europe will take 5 working days? 😌 Yeah!

Anyway, as I would not like to be subjected to such again, I moved some 83 of the 93 names I had parked with them to my landers and will be moving the rest shortly. I get paid within 48 hours of agreeing a price with buyers who come on my lander. (I usually initiate domain transfer within an hour of getting cleared payment from buyer). I know these agents won't miss me but I can do without that kind of customer service.

I will be trying Epik out.

How long is a ball of string?

If you have to ask the question, I will start by sending you here:

https://domaingraduate.com/

This is a free online course which is now live for download and free to share.

In all seriousness, if you want help, the best way is to add domains for free to your Epik account under Domains --> Add Domains. And then PM me and will take a look to advise on selling strategy.

Each portfolio is different, and also situations vary. Happy to be a resource but we'll need to get into some detail for me to be specifically helpful.

hhhh i want to get help also 😁😁😁😁

love the epic landers, very appealing to the eye. I do find their user panel has a lot going on. Difficult to easily see if my added domains are actually in the marketplace or not. maybe just me.

Yes. You can to upload your own image (personal image for each domain) according your domain's meaning and theme,

You can only list your domain names for sale at Epik, if they are registered with them.. Is that the case?

You can use the 'add domains' feature under the larger 'domains' tab.

I am sure of which European company you are talking about and did right by moving out. I moved out of there to another one recently due to buyer payment failures with there useless platform :)

That's not the case, I was able to add some domains I hosted with Namesilo and then list in their marketplace. Use the add domains options to sort that.

😉 Maybe same as mine. I wouldn't blame any agent platform for buyers not paying though. They usually give you the buyer details, and you can ask for the sake to be cancelled so you can put your name back up for sale. Nothing you can really do about a buyer who doesn't wanna go ahead!

Also, the commission also low, $270 for 3000.
For example, with Sedo or Afternic or Godaddy, i may to lost one week or more for check secured funds, transfer domain procedure etc.
The commission $270 Epik VS $600 Sedo Afternic Godaddy etc
Epik had absolutely nothing to do with someone’s being interested in your domain. Your domain sold because someone landed on your domain. And then you paid 9% commission for nothing more than an escrow.com type service that cost around 1.5%? How is that “low”?

Epik did nothing to facilitate the deal. No negotiation. No phone calls to buyer. No brokerage. It is for this level of service that Afternic charges 20%. 20% for full brokerage service is reasonable. 9% for a free landing page and payment processing is very high.

Whatever makes you feel happy but don’t delude yourself into thinking you underpaid.

I'd gladly pay that 9% for the specialized Escrow service provided by Epik, and for the assurance that Rob is only a DM away if any problems arise, and in the knowledge that he will do his absolute best to resolve any issues that may arise.

I'd pay that 9% than pay 1.5% to an Escrow Service who may not really be able to help or can't be bothered to help if things go wrong.

I prefer the personal service available from these two. I wouldn't do the other big names even if they cut their commission to 2%.

Here is the thing people who use Epik have instant access to their funds to renew, purchase, or even checkout via many crypto options.

If a buyer uses cc to pay via escrow they can stick those fees on the seller also, increasing that percentage. Escrow is not an option for all people, but some people, as depending on where you are from. Some people feel this percentage is low enough for them not to have to deal with pushes, and confirmation of pushes after the fact, being the in house register, everything is done in one click, when it comes to transfer, and payment.

Of course I get your point of view of a cost savings on larger deals, but for many people, and micro transactions this checkout works best for their needs. I mean your a big supporter of crypto, what good is crypto if it is not utilized in online use.

Even if it is not your first option to use Epik, it is a great second option to have as a backup service, they provide a good service, along with support, at under 10 percent which is pretty fair for most who put a value on immediate use of funds, and a wide array of payout options.

Yes, some like MK, the ex from BB who has around 12k domains, some LLL.com's, one word com's and other 6 digits valued domains, selling for over 7 digits yearly. What I can not understand is your fixation with afternic/godaddy. I have tested afternic, and if you use their landing pages, will work for some names but in the moment you remove them, the sales are going down with 90%, the only thing that works slightly better, compared to epik/dan is their dls network, which has so many issues, that I will not even start talking about them. I'm not even talking about what you name their 'brokers', do you really think that somebody will start brokering an xxx-xxxx domain? Never in this life, not at afternic. They have a small amount, of 0.1% of their listed domains that they consider high value, everything else is just listed and when somebody hits 'buy now', they charge 20% and you receive your money after you start begging them or start threatening them. So no, for the extra 2-5% leads, which 90% will back down, no it's not worth it. But you can still use them and believe they are the best of the best.
