or

And are you connected with others? Do you share other's domain posts, are you getting views, do you use social media for sales? How many connections/followers do you have? Do you use your own identifty, and photo?

Please share your experience - where you are, what you do there and how it works for you!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
LinkedIn is the main focus and its the main way I find end-users for my domains.

My LinkedIn page (VRContent) has 30,000 VR/AR/Drone/Robotics and other emerging tech followers. I also do marketing and advertising campaigns for tech startups or established companies using LinkedIn when they are after some exposure for an event or product launch. For a low cost, its a good way to get your product in front of thousands of people in the same field as you.

I use Twitter as well but not a lot.

Any luck in getting leads on linked in groups or promotions?

Thanks,

Occasionally from groups, but primarily from companies and individuals. It certainly helps being part of as many related groups as possible, it just leads to more exposure.

I am not on Twitter yet, only on LinkedIn so far. So wanna ask, can domains be sold easily via Twitter, or it is good mainly for for general discussion?

And can you send there some analogues of DMs (private messages) to your followers, or all is public?

LinkedIn is my favorite place. Question — do you guys use your personal profile to sell and promote or create a brand page on LinkedIn?

I’m on Instagram and as Twitter as well but haven’t really done much domain selling there.

I am using my personal profile, but probably more neat would be to create a brand page - but at the time when I was starting there, I did not know how exactly it works, and now it is too late imo to change it :)

Yes :) I am member of more then 30 groups there ... when I have some relevant domain names, I try to join relevant groups there.

For example, when I sell real estate domain names, it is good to promote them in real estate groups, etc.

I do not use promotions/ads - but I try to expand number of my connections there daily.

I also joined few groups related to crypto, Blockchain, betting etc..and try to promote domain names sometimes but no luck in getting enquiries.. I see though there are thousands of people in the groups, only few are active and that too most of them are promoting their own products..

Twitter is perfect if you want to talk with other domainers or just read what they have to say about the market.

I read/use in this order:
Linkedin
Twitter
Facebook
Instagram

There are many domainers (some are Namepros members) very active in social media that share great content. I always learn and enjoy reading them.

Sales via Twitter & FB etc

2018- 2019+
Getting worst , hijacking soc. media posts/threads, spamming, hilarious reposting, ... last 7 months BB, BP, SH and Dan names popping out like a mushrooms after the rain season ... hurting value$, marking you as A+ Namesquatter (more you show, more minuses you get)

Good luck with that
Regards

I have used LinkedIn somewhat in past for non domain-related areas, but have never used it for domains. I admire the work there of @Brands.International and many others, and it is on my New Year's resolution list to finally get active on LinkedIn again.

I have been on Twitter a long time, and started a separate domain-related Twitter account when I started getting more serious about domain investing. My main advice for those considering Twitter is to view it as a place to interact with those both within and outside the domain community, and not primarily as a place to try to sell domain names. NamePros is a much better place to discuss domain names, both because more are involved in the discussion, but also because contributions are recorded long term whereas most Tweets have a very short lifetime.

For those considering getting started in Twitter, I wrote a comprehensive guide to Twitter for domainers that explains the basics, gives some examples of sales that started on Twitter, lists how to use Twitter effectively, things not to do on Twitter in my opinion, along with a list of 10 domain Twitter accounts to start by following.

Anyone with specific questions feel free to ask me here or via DM.

Thanks for starting the social media thread, @Brands.International. In my opinion it is an important topic.

My post on NameTalent was intended as the first in a series on social media, so I may be getting in touch with some who post here who have expertise in media that I do not use.

Not really. Note that Instagram is the last on my list.
Linkedin, with Sales Navigator, is a great tool to contact company CxO's. I've sold many domains thanks to LK.
