At the height of the LLLL(.)com bubble, I've got daily inquiries for my CHIP names. Most were lowballs, but many good offers in retrospect.

Do you have names that people want but you are holding out for better offers?

Most of my names I'd be lucky to get one or two inquiries a year. Maybe one realistic offer every so many years.

What is your most popular name and how frequently did you get inquiries for that name?

I wish I had a name to contribute to this thread :xf.frown:.

I am highly envious of your 2-3 offers per month @Riz M. but with a name that starts with Bob what did you expect? :-P

I do have a domain name that got 20+ offers in past few weeks, but unfortunately they are not serious. I am not sure why this name is generating such traffic (similar names at same venue do not), but eventually I turned off the ability to make any offer or contact me through lander and set a price for instant payment only option. But it was nice to get the $10 million offer on it.:xf.smile: I am pretty sure it will be my only million dollar offer in domaining. And I can truthfully say I did not accept a $10 million offer. :xf.wink: I don't want to give the name here as don't want to generate more attention to it. It is a made up (but similar to real word) in .co and the offers are scattered around US from IP addresses. They were made at hours of day after school is out, and I suspect are from teens playing an online game thinking it is part of some online community (I don't know how).

Anyway, I will be interested to read responses from those who do have very popular names. Maybe I need to invest in some names that start with Bob? :xf.wink:

Best wishes,

Bob

I had a similar experience several years ago: I received many offers and realized a new Chinese shoe company decided to use the exact name. Unfortunately none of the offers came from the shoe company itself.

I receive an inquiry nearly daily for my domain name 69RE.com via Uniregistry. All inquiries are from China, most of them are closed soon (Spam or unqualified).

Can Chinese members advise why this name seems to be attractive to go for it?

I do not remember why I took this name. 69 has a clear meaning for intimate hugs but these should never be qualified as Real Estate (RE) unless you find a fossilized body bubble of unlucky lovers in Pompeii.

Ajlo/com Elix/com get lots of offers regularly.

But there is no direct link between number of offers and a great sale. Some names I sold for xxxxx had zero offers prior. And some names that get regular offers are still with me ))

Did a quick Google and on Baidu (Chinese search engine), 69RE seems to be the name of a streaming video player app.
