The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Never as of today.

p.s. Without GoDaddy coverage - it is almost useless.

Yes, GoDaddy is NOT covered by MLS.
So majority of potential buyers on your domains - out of the game.

If any here's sedo representative, please clear my childish confusion ....
Recently, I received two offer@sedo market place. One show 10% commission and second 20% commission (sedo MLS).
Both domain I used landing page nameservers, Not self activated Sedo MLS...
my question....
What maximum commission rate of listed domain buy now price ( self not activated Sedo MLS and used different nameserver ) ??

SedoMLS Premium Program sounds good and simple

If you received bid via MLS at 20% - then very probably your domain was found via one of their WHOIS partners...

Some registrars also participate in MakeOffer domains.

I can recall the only one .BIZ sale for $333 at 20% in 2013 via GoDaddy (in the past GD was in SedoMLS network, but later GD stopped all relations with SedoMLS).

MLS is always at 20%.

10% only for direct visitors to your BIN domains parked on Sedo.

Searching Sedo MLS in report completed sales thread of namepros shows total 4 sales only. One in 2018 and three in 2017.

Hi Jmaurya,

Thanks for the comment.

If your domains are sold through Sedo MLS ( our multi listing service) then the commission fee of 20% will apply to the sale. If you would like us to look into this for you further to confirm it was an MLS sale, then please send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered with your Sedo account and one of our customer support team members will look into it for you.

All the best.
Chris

Hey all,

Also in response to this thread.

Sedo total MLS sales were just over 20% of our total sales in November 2019, so it is an extremely effective way of selling domains.

All the best.

@Sedo
This stats is very relative...
What % of MLS sales from all your sales no less than $1K?
In other words - exclude all 2/3figure transactions and recalculate it...

@Sedo
Force your registrars/partners to NOT cache MLS prices...
For example, already 1 week elapsed since I updated my prices on Sedo - but Namecheap still shows OLD prices...

@tamar
I also 2 times reported this issue to your team (last month and this month) - and no any changes!

I even removed 1 of my domains from Sedo - but Namecheap still shows it...
Real nightmare with their MLS cache.

One more significant minus of SedoMLS - it is NOT unified...
Many registrars in Sedo network are showing just domains in some TLDs at their own choice and ignore all other MLS eligible TLDs...

Just 1 example: check at Name.com any .ONE domain (where BIN is set on Sedo)...
And you will get only "taken" message. Even if your .ONE domains are managed by PremiumMLS registrar.

Chris

I’ve always had this doubt: if I list with SEDO a domain for MLS sales, does this generates a new 60 days lock from my registrar ?

Once I started the process to list (to test) one of my domains with SedoMLS but the mail I received from Tucows was so long that I was scared about the consequences and did not proceed

Thank you for your answer.

Hi 88.88,

Thanks for your comment.

A 60 day lock would only apply if you transfer your domain to one of the eligible Sedo MLS Premium partners in order to activate the service. If you have not newly transferred the domain then it will not be locked.

Once you start the Sedo MLS Premium activation process in your Sedo account. The domain will show in your domain management as (waiting for approval). Your registrar will need you to confirm the request and will contact you either via email or via a notification in your registrars interface in order to verify your SedoMLS Premium activation. Please do not be put off for this, you should respond to this verification request to complete the activation process. After you have confirmed the activation with your registrar, Sedo MLS Premium will be activated on the domain. Only once you agree to your registrars activation and terms and conditions of MLS Premium, Sedo will be notified and Sedo MLS Premium can then be activated on the domain.

If you have any other questions just let us know.

All the best Chris

Chris

I moved almost all my domains to Sedo mls and I have further questions

It is not clear to me what is the difference between what Sedo calls " domains sales lander" (I need to set up my DNS of my domain) and the Sedo landing page where I can redirect visitors to the domain name (I need to set up redirect of my domain).

It seems that it is not possible to include the offer description in the domains sales lander but it is possible to do in the Sedo landing page. Is there a reason?

Is there any advantage, or not, to be in one, or the other, of these different situations, Sales lander / Landing Page? Both describe the sale status of the domain, you can buy directly, choose language, the only difference I can see is about domain description which is visible only at Sedo landing page.

In Sedo help center I also read "Hint! If you have any other specific/related domains for sale that you would like to advertise, include them in the offer description. After saving your changes, a check takes place to verify that the domains are listed for sale within your Sedo account; if they are, we will automatically create hyperlinks to each domain's offer page." but this seems not to work, no hyperlinks are generated at Sedo landing page, am I wrong ?

Is it possible to set both Sedo mls and Afternic Premium and switch from time to time between them ?

I wanted to try and set BIN price on same domains at Afternic, after I had set ”make offer” option on Sedo, but it seems that my provider is not sending me authorization mails for Afternic Premium probably because blocked from the previous mls authorization which goes in conflict.

Hi 88.88,

You can forward visitors of your page to a landing page which is essentially the offer overview page from our marketplace itself. You can link your domain, directly from your registrar account to your domains offer page, you can link to the offer page: http://www.sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=DOMAIN.TLD. You need to make sure that "DOMAIN.TLD" is replaced by the domain name you want to sell. When viewers click on this link they will be redirected to the domain's offer page at Sedo.

Or you can park the domain and activate our sales lander which would forward any visitors of the domain to one of our sales lander templates which look different to the offer overview above and look something like the picture attached.

The sales lander was designed to be minimalistic which is why there may be certain information like the offer description that does not show on it even though it shows on our offer overview landing page. Regarding the hyperlinks in the offer description, I fear this is an old FAQ that has not been updated. This does not happen anymore I apologise for this and will request it be updated.

With regards to your questions about Sedo MLS, our service can work in conjunction with Afternics Premium service. In order to activate MLS Premium however you must use Buy Now and not Make Offer.

If you have any further questions, please could you contact our support team directly via [email protected].

All the best.
Chris

Thank you, now I've understood the reason why there's a difference between the two situations (sales lander/overview page).
You say that Sedo MLS, service can work in conjunction with Afternic Premium service and this could be very very interesting but exactly what do you mean, how can they work in conjunction ?

I clearly know that it is necessary to set a BIN price to activate MLS and that's what I did and everything went/goes fine, but when I recently tried to do the same with Afternic Premium service (set BIN price to opt-in Premium Service) I did not receive confirmation mails from my provider and consequently I'm not able to opt-in also with Afternic Premium; my doubt is if there'a a "block" from MLS previous registration (which still continues to work fine if I set BIN price) which prevents to use also Afternic Premium.

Let's suppose to solve the above problem (how?), when you say that Sedo MLS and Afternic Premium can work in conjunction you also mean that I can set a BIN price at the same time in both situations ? This would be really great but I do not think it is allowed/can work.

May be this is really possible ? BIN price (may be different) simultaneously on Sedo mls + Afternic Premium ? the top of the top.

Forgive me if for these questions I apply directly here on namepros and not to Sedo support team.

Sedo support team is very well trained and helpfult, I often apply and always get pertinent and conclusive answers, but I think now I'm really nitpicking so I need a specialist.
