Why i bought 300 domains in one month

simple :

i believe in domaining

since i am back from a long world trip i motivated 4 friends to invest in domains
some of them got good traffic at Sedo ( @Sedo ) so i got back on fire and registered 300 domains in one month and the traffic says i am right :xf.smile:

more than 13.000 klicks so far

most of them are registered at Epik , Dynadot , Namesilo and so on

next year i will go outbound and promote them

Good stuff.

In the meantime, shoot the moon.

My advice: don't wait a year to outbound when you can inbound. One decent inbound sale funds 300 hand-reg.

thx

i got already feedback from some banks , because most domains are related to banks and financial services and they need to boost there online business :xf.wink:

yes YOU ARE RIGHT i shouldn't wait

let,s go for it !

If you get an inbound, you can set the free email forwarder so that any email to that domain comes to you. Then contact the CEO of your target enterprise and ask him what he wants done with those emails.

It can be a conversation starter.

You said they have received 13,000 clicks, but the screenshot looks like 3 clicks.
13,000 uniques and 3 clicks is a pretty terrible ratio.

Hopefully these are not TM infringing domains. Best of luck with them.

What Brad said, why do you think the clicks are low? 14,171 unique, 3 clicks. I don't park now but I went to check my old stats, about 7% CTR rate. 14,171 unique would have gotten me about 990 clicks, you have 3. I wonder if you tried these with some other parking company, Sedo was usually considered not the best.

I've used Voodoo in the past and I was happy with them. Had some with Bodis, but mostly Voodoo. I would be curious how the stats would be if you tried another parking company.

I use Voodoo and my CTR is around 5% for the history of the account.

Your CTR is so bad I am wondering if much of that is bot traffic or something.

if you park you lower your chances of selling your domains.. you must define your objective, you have 2 options:
  1. Parking revenue
  2. Selling domains

if you want to sell domains then use landing pages and forget about parking entirely.

I think parking is not worth it anymore it is dead for many years already.

Even big players in domain parking are exiting..the party seems to almost getting over IMO

Always dropping goldmine info - for those that can read and understand beyond the text. Kudos @Rob Monster

Like said above, it wont hurt to test another parking provider. I too am happy with voodoo...do a 30 day test at both and count your clicks and/or income from each. Visitors to a page can be bots so don't get too caught up in the visits number.

Judging from the spikes I would say almost all is bots. After doing google analytics on DAN for the better part of a year I realized that most "high traffic" domains up for sale are just getting hit by the same bots. I remember having a stupid .MOBI domain that nobody would ever intentionally type in and it was getting 500 visits a month.

Also this "unique visits" many parking sites show is garbage. Its just visits.

Your posts seem a bit robotic in terms of statements.

Can you explain which big player in domaining is exiting, how do you exit parking?

Usually certain domains continue to just make earnings, year over year, and others trend on Incorrect marketing, or new trends, or viral campaigns.

Your statement like some others is just filler, adds no substance, or credibility behind it.

There are still people who make 4-5 figures per month via parking. Lots of generic, and industry keyword that earn.

You can also still use parked landers, with for sale, or contact details stated within that page.

Your first graph shows near zero traffic for almost all year and then a huge spike of 12,000 visits this past month. Did you have no domains until now or where they not parked or something else ?

"Every" freshly registered domain gets traffic in the first few days / weeks. But the traffic comes from spammers trying to hit you with tons of offers IMO. Good luck tho.

It interesting if I respond robotic well am a human being and respond manually to any thread I choose to:xf.grin::xf.grin::xf.grin::xf.confused::xf.wink::xf.wink:

On the domain parking exit, I read an article recently here on Nampros, I think from tldinvestor website but can't recall the exact title to search it out for you now to read through.

If your counting on sedo for parking going into 2020, along with the fact you can’t identify, or properly engage your inquiries you have already lost in this space.

Your just hitting your head against the wall, who cares about bot traffic, it’s the names that count.

It’s caliber of the 300 names you bought, I believe Mike Mann purchased about $100k in the course of a few days once.

Plenty of domains get a lot of traffic, little clicks, no conversions, no inquiries.
