Got a prompt to change my passport on Network Solutions 4 weeks ago. I attempted to change it as directed, and there was no luck. I thought it was just a glitch in their system and it will be sorted in no time. But that was no to happen, so I contacted their support to lay a formal complaint about the issue.

TILL DATE I'm not able to change my password, hence can't access my domains. All passport change links I've been sent have failed to work. Network Solutions have blamed it on a program on my machines blocking the access to their website, they've also blamed my wifi connection.

Just to agree fix the issue as they posited, I've have tried to change my password with the link from a friend's computer, I kept receiving the same error message. I've also subscribed to a different mobile internet service just to see if I would be able to successfully change my password, that again was without luck.

This is really frustrating as it seems Network Solutions are absolutely clueless as to how to resolve this problem. I'm not able to request for auth codes for domains I intend to transfer! I need help

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You really need to be contacting them. I suggest phoning them up and getting support directly if you haven't already.

Next port of call is to contact ICANN.

Thank you so much. I have both called and had several chats with their support. Guess the next point of call would be ICANN. Thanks again for the suggestion

Sometimes resetting the password works from the panel, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes even after phoning the emailed link works, sometimes it doesn't. Phoning is usually the best, and ask them to kindly stay on the line while you reset. Last time I had that issue the rep stayed with me on the line to confirm, link worked.

Jesus netsol sound like a right shower.

I wouldn't trust them ever after what they did to the owner of France.com. Transferring the name out without even having the courtesy to let him know.

netsol:
today they have sent me the auth codes
I requested like 5 days ago

a handfull domains I have with them for nearly 1 year due to a promotion

you see I couldn't get my nameservers to work
I have no clue if these domains had any traffic or not

the nameserver shows in whois
but domains don't resolve

meanwhile, I have changed nameservers like 10 times

netsol:
you will never see me buying anything form you again

your $1 USD promo simply is too expensive

when I count my hour
and I count my hours
as I'm old enough to count them

true, the NETSOL website is loading forever and only a blank page appears.

Try to stop the browser when the page is loading.
Then refresh the browser (F5).

This worked for me.

UPDATE: They have suggested I use different ISP's to attempt the reset, none of these have worked. I really need help on this, as I don't know what else to do

I keep getting an error each time I attempt changing the password

Now I have a domain that's been sold and I'm not able to log in and request for auth code. I'm getting more and more frustrated

Keep ringing them until you have access to your account. Using a different ISP is bs, can they provide the logs for why your login/password reset attempt didn't work? What is it about your ISP that is preventing you from logging in according to their logs?

All questions to ask them...

You need to buy one of their slow hosting plan in order to change the nameservers.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Renewal is $35 for $1 promo domains.
If the domain is important to you, start thinking of transfer out now b4 renewal.

If you are the registrant you have a right to transfer the domain even if you cannot log into the account - you just tell them you are tranferring it and they must unlock it and send you the authcode and let the domain go. If not they are breaking ICANN rules and can lose their ICANN accreditation.

No one trusts Nethole.

After the security breach, everyone was prompted to reset their password. To do so you need the answer to your security questions. I was able to do it no problem but would be just as upset as you if I could not login.

Hope they fix it soon.

I agree with Frank. The hassles aren’t worth the $1.00.

This is undoubtedly frustrating and I hope it is soon resolved @Greenthumb.

I wonder if it is possibly related to the security breach this fall?

Bob

Thanks for concern Bob. I guess the password change was a result of the security breach they had, but how's that supposed turn out to be my pain?

I have been resetting my password for the upteenth time now and still facing the same problem for over a month now, I called them over the phone still to no avail, answered all my security questions as well but they still couldn't fix it, it's really frustrating as they keep blaming it on one silly program or the other. I guess only ICANN can help us now
