So for years (decades for some) we have heard the story of Google getting rid of URL's.

Today I noticed something for the first time - URLs (domains) on the top of search results.

So much for Google doing away with domains... :xf.laugh::giggle:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I think you've misunderstood what people were talking about. Those are breadcrumbs, and don't show the exact page url you're being sent to.

The picture above may not show the exact page, but it is showing the domain. During Google's testing we have seen where no domain shows. Let's hope Google is recognizing their errors in trying to rid the search of the domain.

It is an experiment by Google. It will popup in some areas and not for everyone (IP activity). Regards

No, I don’t think it does that. Google might change it soon, but as it is, it begins to erode the website owner’s ability to direct visitors to a precise page. Google is deciding how that page should be categorized — something that only directories used to do — and taking away a little of the url’s function. Anyone who works hard on seo would probably have a problem with this.
