Recently I had a a post removed. It was a post questioning why a thread was in the review section. (I apologize in advance for discussing this subject in that thread.) As a result I hope to get clarification here.

The alert stated that anytime a company or person is discussed it goes to the "Review" section. Yet, as pictured, I don't typically see that happens. Many times companies and individual people are discussed in the "General Domain Discussion," as the picture clearly shows.

I am just trying to get clarification so I can better categorize a post in the future.

Thanks!

I was just getting ready to post the same post. And I just reported about 6 posts. Because if the mention of a person or company = review Then the mods will be busy til Thanksgiving moving posts.

Note: It's based on the topic, not a mention.

Why is the Kate Kate Buckley stuff there, what is being reviewed? I was just checking the section out. Maybe sub-forums for some of the more popular companies so it's easier to find?

Hello,

Yes, those need to be moved. They hadn't been reported for that, and we hadn't noticed them yet.

Here are a couple explanations we've given in the past:

Please let us know if those need any further clarification or details.

Thanks.
Thank you for the clarification. Just so I understand completely, the threads highlighted in red in the picture I supplied above, should be in the "Review" section?

It's not a review, it's my opinion (NOT FACT) my opinion that I am entitled to, that it's so the post is hidden.

Anything that is related to feedback, opinion, feelings, thoughts, status, how they operate, etc. on a person or company is categorized under Reviews if it comes to our attention. There are some exceptions such as a thread in the Warnings & Alerts section and promotional threads, but Reviews is most common for anything about a company or person.

It may not be an exact match of what is traditionally thought of as a "review" or something being "reviewed" but that's how we categorize everything for simplicity. That way, it's not a complicated, debatable process each time. We try to keep it simple.

The topic. I posted this in buying and selling discussion https://tldinvestors.com/2019/11/sedo.html because it would be a strategy for people selling, you moved to reviews, I was not reviewing Sedo.
The only way we would not categorize it under Reviews is if it was a generic strategy (not specific to a company), or you were providing a general guide that was not limited to a specific company such as this article that mentions general strategies and multiple companies:
We understand it's not that intuitive, but if you think of it more simply in the way we've described it, we hope it will be clear which threads will end up in Reviews.

Absolutely. All of those have been moved now.

Thank you for letting us know.
