As most know Kate Buckley wrote an open letter concerning the threads on Namepros that questioned the validity of certain sales Kate brokered. Tonight Namepros posted their reply to Kate, they sent it to her personally and also decided to share with the community. Hi Kate, Excellent letter to the community! Well articulated and supported by credible sources. That’s the way to do it. The … [Read more...]

@RJ I never saw some of those comments at you on Twitter, I wish you came here and let people know.

For anyone that does not know, NP does not delete posts. But I do think thread titles that scream fraud and ripoff have been used way too much and should be discouraged.

Raising questions is one thing, making accusations is another.

I agree if I say something is FAKE, the reply should be, prove it, prove it's fake, if no proof an edit should be required to say "I don't believe (certainly entitled to an opinion) this is true/real etc...

Mods how is this a review but I am curious how Namepros responds to this commenter on TheDomains:
CZ wrote:

I am curious mod did you see this? https://twitter.com/andrewrosener/status/1194551752449765379

Rosener talks about how he tried to kill Namepros?

It’s a Tarpit of trolls and ignorance with not a single successful domainer among its regular ranks.

Let us not forget the owner is also anonymous!

Other namepros members revealed offthehandle’s name and namepros founder RJ had this said to him

It removes libelous content and blocks users who spread malicious and ill willed posts. What a stupid Fucking question! Why don’t I kill you? What have you done for me? LOL. The medium matters!

What action is namepros taking?

@Kenny did you see this?

I think it is actually not a big secret that publishing the news of a(n alledged) multi million dollar - domain name - sale which exact figures remain hidden by an "NDA" which gives, by the way, the perfect reason for being "unfortunately not able to publish some kind of a payment - proof" if (understandably) asked by members (including me), has only one sense in my eyes - promoting the domain name itself to create attention to create value - and this concept is nothing special in my viewww

I highly respect if others like it - but I personally still don't like salty chocolateee

Last but not least, I would not choose the word "fake" to describe something as long as I don't have a proof that it was fakeee

Fake: adj.made to look like something else, especially something expensive.

Though, arguably something such as allegedly deceives (or might be deceiving based on xyz) or what not, might have been more appropriate.

Josh R. And Shane C. 👎

....

I wouldn't be surprised if they've (one, some, or other's) already contacted him/her saying shit like they know everything about him/her and his/her family, to include knowing his/her full social security number. Only saying this because it happened to me.

I havent posted in a little while but this whole subject is bothering me a bit here.

First off, i met Kate a couple years ago before all the hoopla and before the Rockstar Broker title she has rightly earned, and i have to say, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She has helped me out a couple times and i am truly grateful. I could seriously go on and on but i really dont have the time to. If you ever have a chance to meet her, it is really worth it. In domaining, she really is the real deal.

NP will not delete posts huh?

It is a damn shame NP Mods will not change the title of that thread falsely accusing Kate of lying about a sale that we should all be celebrating since it is what we as domainers love to see - Monster End User Domain Sales.

What about this new cyberbully BS...What if someone is doxxing someone, i thought that was actually against the law. Would NP delete that doxxing or leave that to live here forever also?

There was outrage here about doxxing in a thread, I can't imagine it would be allowed but who knows?

What swamp, domaining, namepros or twitter?

The swamp that leads with threats and intimidation.

The swamp that blindly opposes the efforts of those who challenge the status quo.

I can't say domaining, because, well, there's plenty of great domainers, more specifically nameProers. But , boy, do we have some bad eggs leading the nonnamepros pack.

My close minded opinion of course.

Oh, and definitely not namePros. Don't get me wrong, I hate namePros. But most days I love it. And love trumps hate. Just need to learn to use this site in moderation and not get grilled so easily. ✌️♥️🙏

Was it an end-user sale? Didn't we read it was a partnership? Not saying partnerships aren't end-users, just curious, is this a definitive, you know for sure, monster end user sale?

And the thread title also said NDA keeps... from being exposed.

By exact nature, NDA's are meant to keep details undisclosed. How did OFfTheHandle find out about a multi million dollar sale if it was protected by an NDA.

She announces the sale on Twitter, and domain bloggers pick it up, and ran with it.

https://domaininvesting.com/chocolate-com-sells-for-seven-figures/
“While the exact acquisition price is under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, I am free to tell you that it was in the mid-to-low-seven figures,” said Kate Buckley, CEO of Buckley Media.

I think NDA's keep certain things from being exposed, but isn't that what NDA's are meant for by design, to keep parts of an agreement nondisclosed?

Then comes the definition of fake, and how it was used

How do you suggest namePros independently monitor, and change thread titles?

You will need to start a thread in Comments and Feedback to get the answer which you seek.
