"The goal of the Russians" is to put any U.S. president "under a cloud" by delegitimizing the presidency, itself, Fiona Hill says. Their goal is to "have everybody questioning" the system.

Only naive' people don't understand this. The Russians are masters at using the internet to sow political discord in other countries. Nancy Pelosi, just last week, in a televised presser actually was still calling President Trump a Russian puppet. The Demwits on this thread blindly follow their trusted leaders and whatever new conspiracy concoction the mainstream media cooks up on a weekly basis. If they read it in the New York Times or Washington Post or hear it on CNN or MSNBC then it must be true! Some of the things those three say on this thread are mind boggling! They are all extremely naive' bolstered by their Trump Derangement. They consistently say really stupid things and spread untrue stories!

Nice - not only pardons a war criminal, but reverses the Navy's decision to remove him from the SEALs. What's next? Is he going to order them to give him assignments and medals too? Because nobody's going to want to give him assignments.

You know if Trump does not get slapped down now, this will give every President that follows Trump the belief that they are also untouchable and can do whatever the hell they want.

That goes for Democratic Presidents as well as Republican Presidents.

So when the next Dem President is in office Republicans will be so sorry they didn't set an example with Trump and will have nobody else to blame but themselves when a Dem President is doing whatever the hell they want.

It will be a really sour taste of Republicans own medicine they will have to drink up for decades to come.

With every new President the other party from here on out will be trying to impeach them.

All it takes is patience which is something Republicans don't have. Just let this President go, wait for the next Republican President and champion him or her on.

The Republicans as well as the country would have been so much better off had Hillary been President these 4 years.

Republicans would have most likely got Hillary voted out of office next year and put in office a Much better candidate than Trump. One that would not have divided the country in this way.

Plus just think about all the fun they missed out on attracting Hilary as President, gilsan would have been making memes 24/7 365, mr-x would have been making up lies and posting 4 year old articles all the time :xf.laugh:

Slap Trump down now or continue to enable him and reap what you sow later on when a Dem is in office.
It will really come back to bite you Republicans/Trump supporters on the ass one day soon if you don't.

You mean like Obama? Democrats still walking around saying he term was "scandal free".

No it doesn't. Democrats are ALWAYS treated better than republicans. The media bias is profound and has gotten worse every year since G.W. Bush was elected.

So when the next Dem President is in office Republicans will be so sorry they didn't set an example with Trump and will have nobody else to blame but themselves when a Dem President is doing whatever the hell they want.

Obama put whistleblowers and journalist in prison and you didn't bat an eye. You don't even remember it happening apparently.

It will be a really sour taste of Republicans own medicine they will have to drink up for decades to come.

Republicans are not like democrats. We won't use false witnesses to slander candidates for the Supreme Court. FYI - Joe Biden didn't believe Anita Hill. Blasey-Ford is a blatant liar.

With every new President the other party from here on out will be trying to impeach them.

The bed you made.

This is a dumb argument.

No it wouldn't. Not only is HRC more corrupt and incompetent than Trump but the media would be covering for her just like they did for Obama.

Every criticism would be sexist.

Republicans would have most likely got Hillary voted out of office next year and put in office a Much better candidate than Trump. One that would not have divided the country in this way.
So your argument is Hillary would be easier to impeach or undetectable by her second term; and Republicans should vote for democrats so everyone can get along?

Plus just think about all the fun they missed out on attracting Hilary as President, gilsan would have been making memes 24/7 365, mr-x would have been making up lies and posting 4 year old articles all the time :xf.laugh:

Same MO, when faced with facts, you pivot to personal insults and slander.

Slap Trump down now or continue to enable him and reap what you sow later on when a Dem is in office.
It will really come back to bite you Republicans/Trump supporters on the ass one day soon.

Have you seen the candidates running in the democrat primary? It's so weak Bloomberg thinks he has a chance.

Why don't you stop complaining and find someone who's not openly corrupt, crazy or a communist to run as President for the democrats??

State department bureaucrats are really angry President Trump interfered with their foreign policy.

2015, Fiona Hill in long op-ed was against military aid for Ukraine. Exactly opposite of her current testimony.

Bureaucrats.

So. That was 2015. She has a right to change her way of thinking.
Trump does it multiple times a day.

Yes. Isnt that ironic - a draft dodger thinks he has better judgement than those who actually get out there and serve their country.

Rep. Turner uses Fiona Hill testimony to explain why hearsay can be terribly wrong. Amazing how many experts make so many mistakes, "not true" statements.

This CNN blurb (can't really dignify it by calling it a headline) caught my eye. It reminds of the blurbs that paid-off critics write for new films. ("The film of the century! Unforgetable! Don't miss it!")

Here it's "Stunning Testimony!" Just in case we were dozing off because all he is describing is something that most people don't have a problem with (attaching conditions to foreign aid). Followed up by "links Trump to abuse of power!" Again, it has to be repeated ad-nauseam, because it looks like business as usual to most people.

Like the blurbs for boring movies, CNN is providing blurbs for boring hearings that produce nothing of substance.

Best to close your eyes and start chanting "quid pro quo....quid pro quo... quid pro quo...squid pro.... no... must focus... quid pro quo...." Maybe with some incense burning in the background, and a little sitar serenade. Your dream of President Pelosi may come true!

My dear Enlytend. That's called "social proof." Also, in online marketing, most books do this to gain bestseller status, especially when the books are by new authors without an established reader base. It helps spur sales by garnering attention and by showing that others have bought it. Online marketing 101 stuff.

I would be more concerned about whether that's an appropriate use of campaign funds. Perhaps you can petition for a new impeachment hearing?
