XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Google update makes Chrome ready for web-based VR

“The beta of Chrome 79 reveals the details about the support for web-based virtual reality (VR) experiences. Developers can create websites with content including games, 360-degree videos and immersive art using the WebXR Device API, with controllers supported by the GamePad API. Sites can be displayed on a smartphone or on a head-mounted display such as an Oculus Quest.”

I should note that Elad was the first to introduce Cloud • XR in this thread, last month.The TM further solidifies NVIDIA's commitment to the brand.

Here is another one that might have been mentioned somewhere, but if it was, I missed it at the time. We've all seen the TM filings but I was yet to see an actual product (digital or material) until searching just now.

There was some contention a couple of months back as to whether Samsung had filed the XR trademark as some sort of defensive measure, without the intention of using the mark. It looks like we have our answer.
