First, I want to say hello. This is my first post! Second, this is not spam. I tried asking on GoDaddy where I registered it but that site is useless.

So I recently used the GD site builder to create a kind of launch page for my domain. I don't know anything about web developing, well, very little. I used to build websites in the early nineties but I have cognitive issues now and it's overwhelming to me. So much has changed. So many rules and whatnot. I can't learn it all over again.

My website is annadelvey . com A Netflix series based on Anna is being produced by the writer of Grey's Anatomy(Shonda Rhimes) so my domain could possibly be an earner when it comes to be auctioned off, or even parking.

Can I park that domain using the page I created already or would GoDaddy simply create their own page to park it in? *ANY* advice would be appreciated. And I mean ANYTHING. What are my options for a website that could potentially be lucrative? What can I do with this?

Adsense won't monetize it because there is no actual content on the page and I am not sure I could create original content for the page, so looking into other options for earning. I am sure the page would get a massive amount of traffic once the series comes out. Casting has already begun.

Also, if you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see how I got the domain. It's funny actually.

Thank you!

- Jason

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm not sure if the word lucrative and annadelvey should be used together :xf.laugh:

Hey I wish you luck but seriously you are giving it far too much thought. If anyone wants it they will find you with a simple lander but the odds of that happening are probably pretty slim.

Welcome to namepros, I truly wish you well and hope you make a profit on it (y)

So why park any domain then or auction them? I think it COULD make some money considering the name alone. Also, yea, that's funny when used with her name. Hah.

I am thinking the show may want it, Netflix, or even Shonda Rhimes to help promote the series, or to maybe even have a forum for people to talk about her. Maybe I can do that. I dunno. I do tend to overthink but if I don't overthink things and have hopes I will never get anywhere. It drives me. I don't mind failing often as long as I succeed a few times.

Thank you for your reply!

Type lander into the search box and have a read.....

Ok. I see. It's kind of like parking? Is GoDaddy parking considered a landing? I have a bit of stuff on the page already but I guess I would have to go with the websites format eh?

I do not park any of of my names for monetary purposes, you will get better advice from people that do.

I use Epik.com | Dan.com & Sedo.com for my sales landing pages (moving away from Dan though) and list on Sedo and Afternic. I also use Flippa's classified listing service as well.

If you search the above companies on Namepros you will pages of information, also visit their sites to get a better understanding on what they offer.

Okay, thank you. I am thinking sales is where I want to be since I am so lost when it comes to developing and all I care about it earning some money from the few domains I own.

I'm with you on the parking aspect, I don't do that either but you can list your names on dan, epik, godaddy etc and still have a lander page. This way if someone contacts you via the lander you have no commission to pay. I only list at godaddy, I have too many domains to bother listing them everywhere but I find I get about a 50% breakthrough with my contacts. 50% inquire via my custom contact form and about 50% inquire via godaddy.

So in short, use a lander with the big boy tools and you may just save a few bucks.
