Far be it from the former Bulloney to hand register a domain for $8.47 that has the potential to absolve world hunger and malnutrition:xf.smile:

GourmetOlympics.com has the potential to do just that. How so? While 30 Billion dollars sounds like a lot of money, it's the amount of $$$ needed each year to absolve the world of hunger and malnutrition.

Now hear this....The gross world product (GWP), the combined gross national product of all the countries in the world is over 80 Trillion dollars. Doing the math, 30 Billion is less than 1% of 80 trillion, or .024 of 1% to be more exact.

It's my honest opinion, if the United Nations were ever to do anything for the world, it would help coordinate an effort for the modern world to feed itself. Why it hasn't already done this is way beyond my comprehension:xf.rolleyes:

Finally, I've been told the term/word "Olympic(s)" has possible trademark implications:xf.frown:, but not to worry, I believe those violations can be overcome "if" the domain GourmetOlympics.com and GourmetOlympics.org can save MILLIONS of lives.

You're too full of yourself. GourmetOlympics.com/org is not worth the reg IMO.

Do you have a CLUE how it might be monetized? I didn't think so:xf.rolleyes:

Thanks for your comment!

Abdullah...i always like to know who i'm talking to, and i just went to your marketplace site, BrandOnce.com and like it(y) Then i see you you're Epik Staff:xf.cool:

Moving on, assuming you're familiar with gourmet cuisine, and assuming you're familiar with the olympics, i'm proposing an international food competition to take place each year all around the world from; NYC, Barcelona, Rome, Bangkok, Paris, Barcelona, Tokyo, to Mumba/Bombay to name just a few venues.

Billions, if not trillions of $$$ are spent every year on savory cuisine, thus the Gourmet Olympics can be promoted to save the world from hunger and malnutrition. If you could afford it, would you attend an international cuisine competition in Seattle (Epik's headquarters) knowing that proceeds would go to save MILLIONS of lives?

Feed.org was available for sale at namepros last week, not sure if it still is, but if this is your cause, that is most likely your domain.

I think that's the solution. eRise.org comes to mind :)

feed.org is available to buy at DAN.com, and is appraised at 17K at GD. Why pay 17K to feed the world when you can pay $8.47:xf.wink:

If you have a message to present, this is the best medium to reach the masses.

Nobody is going go remember, or follow GourmetOlympics which sounds like a cook off. As well yes, the Olympic organization defends their marks like a pitbull.

It really depends how big you are going to go, and how far you want your message to reach. The whole purpose of a good domain, compared to a bad.

I have no idea on the price, but owner is a member here, and if your intentions are serious you can always negotiate, at the end of the day, you still own a multi meaning domain that has value.

I've learned EVERYTHING is subjective in this business, and as such you couldn't possibly get into my head to see what I see with regards to GourmetOlympics.com. I might even gift the domain to the "pitbull" if it were to help rid the world of hunger, or support one of my favorite charities Special Olympics that I know is near and dear to the pitbulls heart:xf.smile:

In 2012 David Cameron did a world hunger summit on the last day of the London Olympics about Food Security.....There was no association with the IOC it was a symbolic event.

Does this not show you something? If the IOC would get involved with a world hunger event on the last day of one of it's Olympic Games hosted by the Prime minister of that country and it was on the back of a G8 summit discussing this issue then what chance does Gourmet Olympics have?

A big fat zero springs to mind......

But, hey what do I know? I am sure it you will say I know nothing and I do not know how you think and it is all one big conspiracy :xf.wink:

Use it for a food eating competition.....even then the IOC might come after you :dead:

No I didn't, nice idea though.....would of preferred my name "Nick" but seeing as it directs to Nickelodeon, not much chance of that happening :xf.smile:

There are loads of ''visionaries'' such as yourself. Only a tiny fraction have got evidence to back up their claims. Most are just ramblers.

When people who have proven time and time again to be good domainers with sales tell you something, think twice before bashing their contributions.

Also, I disagree that domaining is subjective. It's actually very objective, you just have to learn all the patterns.

NameGuy was around during the early days of the internet, looks like he had the funds to make a splash as he has an eccentric personality which would be great if he had Rick Schwartz type domains. Albeit his personality does not match his .homes portfolio which is coming due to renewal soon 🙇‍♂️

If you want to be cocky back it up with some blockbuster sales, so you have credibility in what your talking about. Nobody is going to listen to advice from someone with no sales, or a portfolio of non significance.

You really are clueless, for I've already proven "time and time again" that I'm good at the NAME business....name as in namePros™ And as for domaining being subjective, I may be the best subjective name guy you'll ever meet, and this isn't to say I don't apply a little objectivity. Carry on my Lord:xf.rolleyes:

Visionaries do visionary things.

If someone just talks about themselves being visionary, it is safe to assume they are not.

Not a bad idea though the logictics and everything will require a lot of planning and coordination.

@ThatNameGuy I understand and know that WFP is targetting zero hunger come 2030. Perhaps you should pitch your idea and domain to their external relations department:)

I used to frequent a science forum. You got a lot of people there with their ''groundbreaking'' theories on the universe and physics. Their favorite argument was always that everyone laughed at Galileo and he proved them wrong and the rest of the scientists were sheep following rules.

None of these people were ever bothered by the fact that they had zero evidence backing up their claims. Funnily enough, the math section never had these theories because everybody knew that you need math to prove math.

Some people on this forum remind me of those people.
