The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Yeah I checked them out earlier, non of them I'm attracted to, besides my "Rssve.com" looks way more attractive than those 4L...ofcourse for future investment😉 But I'm a patient person, I'll wait for a good 4L, I'm sure there is one out there for me😊
That's the key. Patience. I learn while I wait. Then I pounce!

Just be careful. It's not easy to have just one domain. :)

I remember some members here who bought 300-1000 names when fasthosts was offering 1$ registration. I did not do that, however, looking how profitable it became for the members who did it then I believe I should have done it too. If a deal like this is around, I would suggest you do quick research and reg names, possibly GEO names then see how it goes. You might get huge returns. For the time being, it is very rare to get a good 4L for exact 100. Most will be very random, and I believe the good ones still clock 150 to 200 to acquire.

Go to the casino and walk to the roulette table, then put that $100 on red or black.

I think buy one 4L is right choice for $100, someone even sell them at$85, u can select and buy 1, use the left renew 1/2 more years, wait for the market ramp up again, and also list it at $900 wait for some enduser...

if nothing happen after 2/3 years, u resell it at similar price later.....

or if u are lucky enough..to have 100 become 900 during these years

another more risky way is, find nice LLL.one, specially CVC.one, buy 6, renew each for 5 years, record ur account id and pwd at a safe place, remember it, 5 years later...u may lost all of those, or u will earn lot...

for me, I am quite positive on LLL.one...but who knows...

I like to diversify my portfolio, I buy mainly dividend paying stocks, then I buy a few spec stocks and crypto, finally domain names.

My issue with domain names is liquidity, I can buy and sell socks and crypto all day but domains take time, a long time to sell and a lot of work, I still like investing in them because I see the value however my preferred investments are always dividend paying stocks.

domaining is totally different game...more fun....more kill time....my most investment is on realestate, then fund, then stock.....they have my 99.95% value of my assets, but from time perspective, my most time spend on domainning, instead my major assets. not make sense, but it is true. as domainning bring more fun to me.

if that is the case, lets sell all assets, and hold cash, and then, let find best purchase time while crisis geting end...😃

I significantly shortened my portfolio in 2019...
And currently I plan to keep it within 1.5-2K domains range, no higher.

Buy art: a sculpture or a print by a well-known contemporary artist in an edition up to 100.
or
Buy domains: Use a few days and nights to check all one-word English and Spanish dictionary words if taken in dot.co (not dot.com, here they are taken), build your list of free names and wait for the next $1 Regfee promo by Epik or another registrar, start fast and reg 100 names. You will sell some of your registrations fast to other domainers here in the forum for a multiple to generate free cash again.

This is turning into a terrific investment thread !

You can get three FREE domain name appraisals BEFORE you buy :

GoDaddy.com | Estibot.com | NameWorth.com

( used to get free at SEDO.com and others; now they charge fee )

If you think domains have great future AHEAD you can buy GoDaddy.com stock : GDDY

If you think BitCoin has potential you can buy ETF : GBTC

If you think GOLD is a good buy go with junior miners ETF : JNUG

If you think the stock market is going to crash you can buy : UVXY

If you want to take a flier on my FAV penny stock it is : CHK

Real Estate has made the most money for the most people over the long haul : REIT shares

AT&T is the most widely held and best dividend paying stock, with a BIG kicker if the TimeWarner

deal works out but politicians play with it - ticker symbol : T

Getting back to domains NameCheap.com had a GENUINE 1 CENT SALE where they even

paid the other 17 cents in ICANN fees - someone else also recommended that you do a lot

of homework ( especially at NamePROs.com ) waiting for the next big super promo sale

and then try to do a lot of hand regs - remember you have to list them all for sale, in as many

venues as you can keep track of - and BE PATIENT. I have sold only two domains, and they

were both .com and fetched excellent profit$$$. BEWARE - we are all our own worst enemy

and it is easy to be like a kid in a candy store - until the money runs out or the reg fees eat

you alive - study those Forbes 400 and see how they made their $$$ - YouTube.com no sales

no earnings 8 months old being run by kids in a loft above a pizza parlor in California SOLD

to Google for $2billion - fastForward 10 years and LinkedIn is SOLD for over $20billion to

Microsoft - so the BIG BUCKS are made in developing WebSites and WebSites need

Domain Names !

NOW

Oncology.me

BIN $11.00 @ GoDaddy Auctions

GoValue : $2646.00

Estibot : $1600.00

You will have to get your own NameWorth estimate ( I ran out of mine )

But I think it is safe to say if the NameWorth estimate is also over $1000.00

You will probably not go wrong on the investment, in my not so humble opinion...
