Amusing find.

If actually a true registration, he leaned left and had a prime Silicon Valley address. Shocking....

It's true - can be verified (of course).

For some reason I don't think the Trump Org is aware that Wagner felt/feels this way. LOL

I am saying anyone can fill in a WHOIS form as a parody registration. As such, there is plausible deniability even in a public registration. However the fact that it was registered at Godaddy does increase the chances that it was an actual registration. Enough said.

I tell you what - It's still registered under privacy without dropping - you have deep pockets - file a UDRP and see what godaddy says as far as registrant ownership info.. LOL

GoDaddy has the largest amount of domain registrations by a giant margin.
They have almost 60M total. That is about as many as the next 10 registrars combined.

Scott Wagner is also a relatively popular name.
There are 519 people with my name in the U.S.A.

I would not jump to conclusions.

Valid point, but anyone can populate the information.

Also, not sure why it really matters anyway.
Trump is a joker. Cool. I have heard a lot more offensive stuff.

It would clearly fall under free speech.

If that is good business or not, who knows. It depends how much business they gain or lose.
I am guessing most people would not care.

That email would have had to have been verified through godaddy's system....The only way you can change or add an email is by VERIFYING through email sent to you by godaddy.

You all would make more more and see more trends if you sleuthed a bit more

Oh well, the irony was lost on many.

The Trump Org registers their domains with Godaddy and all the while Wagner has registered this domain.

Respect for connecting some possible dots. That takes coverage. If I were a bookmaker, I would assign 80-20 odds that indeed the registration was a legit registration based on the evidence presented. It is what it is.

Mr. Scott Wagner - politician (R) and billion $ businessman, DT supporter. His words s.a. “Trump is a visionary” inspired Mr. R De Niro’s words s.a. Trump is a joker or Trump is a bozo. Fake registrant info. People don’t have anything smarter to do but reg.heroic dn’s so they can talk about it in their local bar. Move on.

Lox - with an escrow holder - I'll bet 10K that its the real Scott Wagner (former godaddy ceo) - I'll put up 10, you put up 10. The one who is right takes all.

Take it as is. I’m not the betman, so I refuse to accept this $10k temptation . ;)

Sorry to interfere from old Europe.

Isn´t this domain name crap because either Trump-is-a-joke or Trump-is-THE-joker would make sense, the latter if it is a refernce to the Batman counterpart. If "joker" is a reference to card games then Trump-is-a-joker would be ok and even positive.

Edit: I am jumping into this thread like a smart ass but it´s really interesting which is the object of who ever took this name.

Edit 2: Asking my Leo.org dictionary joker is a Witzbold, Scherzkeks, somebody who likes to make jokes. Can be positive and negative?

Thin ice, I´m out.

Lol, yes. European children should still be in bed. :xf.grin: Three hours of sleep and fresh coffeine and nicotine made me curious.

But in fact your presidency election is very interesting for us, too. And important because every US President is a bit president of the whole Western world.

I have quite a few domains that I don't align with. If the domain were to host defamatory content, there would be a more-enticing story imo. Could be an investment. Maybe he even regged it preemptively, in order to defend against would-be mudslingers. Or maybe he doesn't like Trump. Who knows?

Neat find, nonetheless.

Regarding the question "Should registrars be political?", I presume you mean to ask whether registrars should try to influence politics proactively by shaping the playing field to favor one faction over another. My answer is a resounding "No". Let the dialogue play out in a public exchange of thoughts and ideas. These days, to do this is, in and of itself, political. So, I suppose my answer is, no, but yes because no.

The thread is more of a "Hey, look what I found", and that's fun. Thank you for sharing. In case you're seeking an answer to your question, I think Scott should feel free to reg that domain, even as CEO, so long as he would also honor someone to reg a domain of an opposing stance. And I have no reason to think GD wouldn't allow such an opposing domain, to be fair. Though, GD has indeed allowed politics to seep in to their business decisions a bit more than I'd like in the past. I think we've moved on from that topic for the most part. I have most of my names with a registrar I'm happy with.
