Hi @Daniel Field .. and welcome to NamePros! :)

Best piece of advice I can give is to go slow when you start .. try to learn as much as possible before spending too much. Real domain sales to end users are significantly less frequent than it first appears. Most domainers with good domains based on years of experience only sell 1 or 2% of their domains a year.

If you're looking to sell at very small margins at wholesale then one domain a month isn't far fetched .. but remember that when you sell a domain to other domainers, you will only get a very VERY tiny fraction of what the domain would otherwise be worth to a true end user.

If you already have a few domains, maybe go to the appraisal section of NamePros and ask people for feedback .. the unfortunate reality is that most newcomers think they have good domains, that unfortunately turn out to be unsellable. I'm not saying that's the case with you as it's impossible to say without knowing the domains .. but it's true 95+% of the time.

Best of luck to you going forward! :)

Yes to Ategy's: "...newcomers think they have good domains, that unfortunately turn out to be unsellable."

I did exactly that AND, it's okay - because I got over the pain (disappointment) and learn more so I could do better next time.

Go easy on yourself. Learn from your 'mistakes'. Keep doing better each next time. Little by little you will get where you want to be. You will.

Welcome to NP.
Make sure you post those domains in the appraisal section and see what others think. Opinions there, too, are free.
