Yes you think right that’s never going to be possible but what if I have a domain from a company that generates $ 15 million annually with just .us extinction then what should I do? And guess what I have this thing

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Then you are infringing on their trademark. Get rid of the name ASAP. There are plenty of similar sorts of names available but people dont touch them because of trademarks, it can lead to serious legal trouble for you. Its a common newbie mistake.

Learn about TMs about before buying anymore names.

Get ready to pay for a faked death in your country like Gerald Cotten, because by the time the legal fee's hit you will wish you were dead.

It sounds like you are saying that you own a domain, perhaps a .com. There is a company that owns the .us. They are a big company.

If this is the case, it depends on if they have a trademark. These are sort of legal questions. Anyway, if you owned the .com before they began using the .us you should be fine but it can still be very expensive.

Google the case of nissan.com. You can see how much the poor guy has spent just to keep his family name away from the big car dealer.

What about people selling their domains at huge prize like I want to own a domain name kongskull.com but the seller is asking more money so i decided to do a trademark of that word and then seller has to pay me, so if this thing is right then any domains can’t sell at huge prize because trademarks can be cheaper than that and you also can make money by level fee so it’s free ? Isn’t it

1. are you from the us? - really easy to take away if you are not.

2. if amazon has not pursued it yet they dont want it.

3. if they hear you have it they are obligated to send lawyers after you, they have to defend their trademark to keep it so even if they dont want the domain they have to pursue.

Any way you slice it you cannot win and since there is no amazon in the usa its going to be hard to put the domain to use.

These are the sorts of questions Newbies ask all the time You'll never convince them they are not within their rights to do all sorts of stupid things when it comes to domains. Almost best to leave them to their own devices until they have learnt the basics.

What about people selling their domains at huge prize like I want to own a domain name kongskull.com but the seller is asking more money so i decided to do a trademark of that word and then seller has to pay me

They clearly have no concept off TM rights and wrongs or pre-existing or pre-dating rights, so what chance have any of us getting through to them

Pretty sure Amazon generates $15 million every few minutes, not annually.
But yeah, it’s likely TM infringement but many will make a case it isn’t.

Did the same rookie mistake with "Emiratesdutyfree.com"....I guess we all pass through this phase at some point 😁 But as Amazon is not based in the "US" u may have a chance coming from a country who gives zero fu*k about copyright/TM.

If you look at politics and war you will see their has been so many conflicts with South America it will only be a matter of time before another war that the rainforest river might be fought over. All irrelevant to your name as right now South America isn't a United State and is used as a trademark. If USA took over South America with a war then it could be geo target domain.
Ignore my way of thinking and delete.

And my another question for those who is giving example of Nissan.com, Nissan didn’t offer anything to that guy or they just sued him in Tm laws directly amazon bought amazon.se they did not do that if anyone here can think that’s a point

If you had Amazon.us and set up a website about Amazon river or fire in the forest three then you are clear

Dont ruin your reputation on TM names, its frowned upon in this industry. Take it as a lesson and move on.

The title of this thread amounts to clickbait. Responding to the title, my advice would be to make a site about the inhabitants of Themyscira.

Aside from that, there's not a whole lot else to suggest.

every TM can be deleted - should be deleted

no TM should have the right to take the domain

first come first save
