Does anybody else follow up on this?
Do you trust these large $$ sales announcements?
Does anybody really even care?
Do you trust broker sales reports???

Published on March 7th, 2019- I have followed this thing since it was announced. I don't like this price discovery game and propaganda, it's harmful as it inflates the true end user market. If you are a serious business owner, you should also object to this fake sales bullshit and those who perpetuate it.

So here is the fake news thread:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/nd...g-new-chart-but-its-a-big-win-for-kb.1126860/

Yep. Right. "Multi-Million Dollar".

The "Operator", at least admits that they are NOT the registrant owner. Wazimo- the operator and developer, marketer who was interviewed at least has the decency and integrity to admit they don't own all those names.

wazimo-not-owner.jpg

"Does Wazimo own the domain properties or do you work in partnership with the premium domain owners? If not, is that a possible future path?

"We formed a partnership with the domain owners".

They admitted they don't own Chocolate.com, nor Basketball.com, Football.com, or trivia.com just as I stated before on the original thread listed above and suspected.

They are self admitted "operators." which is fine, congratulations to the Wazimo group of developers and marketers and hope they actually build it up into a business.

It's too bad the broker had to make up the fake news about the sale, and worse yet that the story was actually published without vetting it and realizing they were being duped. a huh. yep, right. "Trusted Sources" huh? Yea, right.

I think someone is getting their "Kate's" mixed up. :xf.rolleyes:

Yes @Kate is one of the most prolific members on Namepros who has been here for a long time, never posted her last name and has never been a domain broker.

@Kate Buckley uses her full name here and has 12 posts in her entirety of being here, and is a domain broker. It's hard to confuse the two.

Out of all the domain sales and brokers out there, you pick and point Kate for her efforts of building her brokerage company from zero to where she is today?

I salute you, not, for these baseless accusations, without any solid evidence.

That's super-defamatory in my strong opinion and the reason why I DISLIKED opening post.

That may or may not be the case Giles, and I see where your state side friend Kate has crossed the world, visited this thread, and "liked" your post. She's obviously in your corner, and that scores HUGE for you....Congrats(n)

Well for someone coming in fresh the topic looks tame enough. One can only assume that it's been heavily cleaned at this point. Kind of Men in Black style :xf.laugh::xf.laugh:

As far as my opinion with the topic....

There are enough suspicious sales for @offthehandle to have cause for concern.

That said, I think Kate put it to rest nicely with her well spoken response.

I did enjoy reading the heavily censored version of the topic though :xf.wink:

Please my friend from Canada...stop sending that cold air to VB....it's too cold to go outside and play:xf.frown:
Now back on topic...what bothers me most about this whole ordeal is Kates comments in her Open Letter;

"I don’t see agitators like @offthehandle questioning their sales. So why single out mine?
Could it be because I’m a woman? As any successful woman in business can tell you, there is a certain ilk of man who is at best intimidated and at worst caustic toward women who’ve achieved any measure of success. Or, could it be because he hasn’t achieved any measure of success of his own?"

The reason I point this out is because it's an insinuation and almost an accusation that @offthehandle is a misogynist? Now maybe he is or maybe he isn't, or MAYBE he isn't even a HE?

I'm personally every bit as transparent on NP, and in life as Kate Buckley will ever be.

Just one more "observation" on my part, @offthehandle has over 8,400 likes here on NP. What's up with that? Even though he/she are anonymous, to me that speaks volumes.

The fact that THAT is what bothers you about the whole ordeal speaks volumes about YOU. And, by the way, we now know exactly who @offthehandle is and he is, incidentally, a man.

Our industry needs to clean up its act and stop this shameful and toxic behavior as referenced in my letter which can be read in its entirety at http://86bullies.com. Moreover, I find it telling that some of you have jumped on just ONE line questioning why @offthehandle chose my sales to be fake from ALL the domain brokers in the industry—instead of honing in on the actual issue of libelous, slanderous campaigns via baseless allegations repeated ad nauseam on this forum. Allegations that, by the way, I stopped in their tracks.

I'm doing my part to elevate our industry. Are you?

On that note, I'm done with responding to anything (and I mean anything) on this forum. I'm going back to selling 7-figure domains and doing my part to be of service. I wish you all the very best of luck, success and happiness. Peace out.

Domains are gender neutral, majority of sales are done behind an email address, some on a phone call, I don't think anyone really cares who is behind the domain, the only thing that matters is the price, and the quality of the name.

PLEASE do not turn this into some sort of sexist spin without further proof, otherwise you are no better than the OP.

When I purchase a domain, I don't care if I am purchasing it from an ET or the Ogopogo, price, and quality of domain, that is it. Godaddy, Sedo, Uni, all have women working on their sales teams.

There was nothing censored or cleaned up, the original post that offthehandle put up is still there with no edits.

That sounds very revengeful IMO.

Our industry needs to clean up its act and stop this shameful and toxic behavior as referenced in my letter which can be read in its entirety at http://86bullies.com
Again, it sounds revengeful.

. I wish you all the very best of luck, success and happiness. Peace out.
Likewise! Your successful, leave it at that. No need for revenge because of skepticism. There will always be skepticism, it's part of human behavior, and it is favorably looked upon by some and disregarded by others. It is what it is.

I hope you can find some peace soon, just as I hope @offthehandle has peace as well.

Cheers!

Actually I am. In February I purchased a domain; DomainEthics.com, a domain that had been hoarded for 15 years prior to my buying it. Verisign spoke to the ethics question in domaining last November, and I will be adding to the story. Thanks for asking Kate...maybe together we can elevate an industry that seriously needs lift(y)

I'm not sure but maybe he got the same message I did:

Your post in the thread NDA Keeps A FAKE Multi-Million $ Sale of Chocolate.com from being exposed was deleted. Reason: Cleaning up off-topic posts and quotes of it

So some cleaning took place, I don't even remember posting in this thread, I remember posting in some other thread about the company that had the names on their site.

Oh maybe JB I just meant the initial post, which is what I thought some people thought got cleaned up, the post that started all this. Maybe other posts got deleted, you probably right.

Hello,

We respect and appreciate Kate's open letter to the community and believe everyone can benefit from being more conscientious when they post.

You saw the same topic in its entirety as everyone else.

The posts that were deleted from this thread were about @ThatNameGuy confusing Kate with a different Kate, @JB Lions correcting him and reporting his post, and then ThatNameGuy reporting JB's post that replied to him. All of those off-topic posts were removed, and then JB forgot it happened.

Just another day in the life of a moderator at NamePros.

the actual issue of libelous, slanderous campaigns via baseless allegations repeated ad nauseam on this forum
". . . ad nauseam on this forum."

Is that a fact or an opinion? What percentage of content on NamePros must fit this description for it to be true? How many times must it happen for it to be true? How many people must agree that this description is accurate? If those thresholds aren't met, does that make your statement libelous or an opinion? Are the answers to all of these questions subjective?

These are all worth thinking about because they can be applicable to many things that are written online.

When you delete a post, you get an alert. The post that was deleted should be in that alert so people know, as suggested by many people.

While I appreciate everyone's viewpoint, as well as the moderators', I must point out that not only were posts deleted without alert, but there was far more than one thread (Inspection.com, Sleeping.com/Snoring.com, Chocolate.com...over well more than a one year period) maligning my established sales and reputation without a shred of evidence (as I've firmly established...btw, still don't see a retraction or apology, or a reason why I was singled out of all other brokers on the planet) all led by the same member of NamePros who is still a member in good standing.

Here's what I would ask: NamePros, take leadership, protect your reputation and reign in bad actors.

The rest of us: The vast majority of this industry is fabulous. Let's all be good actors and move our industry forward.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Kate were your posts deleted? I know off topic posts that should have been deleted were deleted. OffTheHandle's posts were not deleted or edited, leading many to believe that OffTheHandle was within Namepros rules, which I have asked 3 times, was it abiding by the rules? No answer. @Mod Team Bravo

Good question: I wasn't referring to my personal posts. Particularly since I so rarely responded. I was focused on monetizing my clients' ultra-premium dotcoms, not monitoring NamePros. ;)

Oh then how did you know they were deleted?

I was referring (and I'm growing increasingly weary of this topic) to the deletion of @offthehandle's posts as well as other inflammatory posts maligning my reputation (all of which are legally actionable, BTW). I had no idea myself as, again, busy doing other things. but was alerted to it by NamePros users.

@Mod Team Bravo can you verify if offthehandle's posts were deleted from here? I do not believe they were.
