The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
My US traffic at Bodis is many times higher than any other country... and US CTR is ~0%.
I guess, some US bots are not banned by Bodis... that's why so abnormal stats.

Please add the option to hide "Minimum Offer" value, it is displayed when it is set.
Or don't show it by default.
Thanks.

And just plain contact form is needed... Just to contact the domain owner.
Without Offer field and without mentions that the domain is for sale.

And please update DAN URL to dan.com/buy-domain/example.tld?redirected=true
It loads the primary sales lander, without bolded part - their internal lander will be shown.

It was asked in August - but still no any changes...

When MX records will be removed by default
OR
will be provided opt-out in Bodis settings to completely disable this email monetization?

All set. Appreciate the feedback.

As far as MX disable setting, it will come, and it's definitely on our list, just not the highest priority. A lot of features before that. Right now we're preparing a pretty sizeable update that we have to get through first.

In meantime, you may get around MX settings by setting domains via CNAME or IP record. That's my current recommendation until we can get that done. Thanks

CNAME/IP is suitable/easy way only for few domains.
I have ~850 domains at Bodis... they are also under many registrars.

Why email monetization was enabled at all WITHOUT permission of your customers???
And as previously was discussed - it is absent even in your Terms, so nobody agreed on it.

@Jurgen Wolf

We don't read or reply to emails.

In our opinion, it's the job of the domain monetization platform, to extract the most revenues from your domains as long as it is in a clean method that does not involve malvertising or any illicit practice.

As mentioned previously, you can change DNS away from NS which would move your names away from having the MX record set. We'll introduce a way to seggregate it in reporting and an on/off option, it's on the todo list.

Right now, as a result of this form of monetization, we're able to provide higher revenues to all customers across the board.

I don't see any higher revenues...
They are the same on average as before.

I already had 13 domains blocked by Afilias.
12 at ParkingCrew and 1 at Bodis for unknown reasons... just registered them, parked and got blocked within days/weeks.

I want to completely exclude various high-risk scenarios like BAD IP addresses or BAD hosts in those MX records.
Because then it ends with serverHold, regardless of what you actually do on your platform.

@Jurgen Wolf we certainly are able to pay higher overall as a result of overall higher revenues. At the end of the day, we're competing against other companies for business.

As far as domains blocked on PC/Bodis, can you message me the list?

MX seems unlikely as you seem to have it turned off on PC I am guessing, and you have 12:1 blocked at PC with it turned off.

Who/what are they blocked by? Message me the domains and I will take a look.

Yes, I turned it OFF.
But I'm not the only one user at PC.
Their IPs could be blacklisted even regardless of my settings there.

If you can send me list of domains and where/who they are blocked by, we can start to investigate.

It's possible (and likely), it has nothing to do with MX records.

But anyway, we will offer the option. It just hasn't been a priority.

Recently registered domains (1-2 weeks old) were blocked by Registry (Afilias.info) due to spam activity (their reply).
Some of them were also marked as BAD in Spamhaus DBL - and I manually removed all these victims.

The domain which was blocked at Bodis - you have in your DM archive.
It was already discussed last Summer.

Spamhaus DBL is a dynamic list... they update it in automode...
So if all is perfect at Bodis - then why this domain was blacklisted by Spamhaus???

@Jurgen Wolf

As you said yourself in a previous post, the IPs are shared. The MX records are also shared. If we remove the MX records from your domains, it's still possible something could have your doman flagged as a result. First off, we're not even certain this is due to the MX records. But if it is, there's no guarantee removing MX records would make a difference.

As an example, we're blocked every now and again by the Great China Firewall and have to adjust our shared server IPs. Since all domains are hosted on a single or group of shared IPs, it only is enough for some company offering their services to simply blacklist the IP and all domains are unaccessible via that specific service.

This is more the nature of domain parking/monetization unfortunately. There can be things done to help reduce this issue, but it can't be entirely eliminated/resolved.

The same is true if you're using shared hosting for instance.

The only advice I can provide at this point is if you're concerned about it, switch to CNAME/IP forwarding for time being until we can offer a way to opt out of MX.

IPs are shared... right...
But anybody can send Abuse to Spamhaus (with original Email headers) - and this IP will be blocked.
Even if you just gather the email addresses for 3rd-parties...

It's definitely concerning. Anything that gets an entire IP range or IP blocked is extremely concerning to us. Because, in the long term, that actually hurts us rather than helps us.

Can you PM me the 12 domains at PC, and 1 at Bodis that have the issue?

@matt_bodis

Is it possible to remove this from the listing page?

"Note that the owner may disregard your inquiry if your offer does not meet his or her expectations."

We understand why this message is important for some sellers who do not wish to have low offers, but it also seems offensive to a potential buyer. Is there a way to delete this part of the message if the seller does not want to use it?

There is better way... It was asked already few times...
Add just plain Contact Form... ParkingCrew has it from the beginning.
Without mentions that the domain is for sale and without Offer field.

And the mentioned text can be safely removed - it has no any impact...
I regularly receive the lowball inquiries on Bodis... they submit even $5 offers...
