Anyone with any advice on how to sell leads from a domain name? Not sure where to turn. I got a divorce attorney related name. It has a small amount of traffic I'd like to monetize by capturing and selling leads.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
is it getting traffic? If you have real traffic - call a few attorneys - ask to make a deal on referrals. Put up a nice lander with that person's ad. (you can capture contact info and submit it to them if you want tighter control - but be careful not to make it difficult as you will just lose the lead.

If it is not getting traffic on it own - is it worth paying for the traffic?

If they are getting calls you are getting paid - sell more ad space.

Because of geographic limitations I think it really makes more sense to work with an existing lead gen platform. Otherwise I probably wont be getting enough attorneys to cover all possible geographic areas or enough leads to the same attorneys consistently. I just don't know who are the lead gen players in this field.

i'd park it, to see conversion rate and epc, if any, first.
before claiming the name can provide leads.

imo...

First off I never made any such claim. Second any name *can* provide leads. Doesn't mean it *will* but until you try there is no way to know. But it does have traffic which is the first step (and even if it didn't organically theres always paid traffic options). But all of that is irrelevant as lead gen is done as CPL (cost per lead) meaning no leads means no money so it's not like I have to prove any volume. I'd be like a parking company refusing to park your domain until you prove it'll get clicks...sure they could if they wanted to but why bother it's not like they have to pay you if it dosent get any.

Either way there is traffic that I suspect some portion of would concert as a qualified lead but it's all conjecture until I actually capture and sell the leads. I dont expect any meaningful enough volume to go on it all alone would which is why I am looking for info on lead buyers who aggregate leads for the actual end users. In the case of my name it would be for divorce attorneys.

Buy domains and take the risk. You got the lead how good is it make an offer on domains you can resell. Want to play safe then try up sell in your 9-5.

Correct you never made the claim but without a strong keyword your not going to have the leads you think. What is the niche? Divorce attorneys well sounds very specific perhaps you should change title to include that. Domain lawyers might be your target in here.

Hi

I never said you made any claim.
I said, If, you claim, as in, if you approach any attorney with the notion that your domain can provide leads, then ….
if, it was parked and the traffic was converting to clicks related to divorce attorneys, then you would have statistics, should that person question whether or not those leads were "qualified".
you could also identify where that traffic was coming from, which could help to focus on attorneys in that region

sure, any domain that gets some traffic can provide a lead, but having leads that are qualified" or not, is, and makes the difference, between traffic that's relevant to a divorce attorney and traffic that is not..

that's all I was trying to say.

imo...
