So to cut the long story short, I just completed an outbound sale earlier today through Paypal because my enduser wasnt able to make payment with his card at DAN.com few days ago and went silent, so I followed up and he mentioned about the "payment issue, and he'll try another card next morning or check with his bank". I had imported this lead into their (Dan's) system.

Have you had similar experience with Dan.com where you had almost lost a domain sale, or were on the verge of losing a sale but saved it somehow?

Just to highlight, I had 8-9 various buyer offers on different domain names at Dan, which disappeared or went silent a month and a half ago, so I have decided to switch platforms and shifted base to EFTY earlier this week.

If it was one-off instance that I have mentioned or have been complaining about, and DAN is religiously refuting, I would have gone my way but when more than one person complains, there must be something wrong.. think about from a business point of view and do as you please!

This is the thread where you voice it out and let 'em know that they (Dan.com) are losing the game!!

@Reza I expect you to be a little bit proactive instead of been defensive, is not only @Haykay and @Soofi that complained about this issue, other noticed it and lodged their complaint.
people do not only see the shortcoming of Dan as a platform but also appraise Dan where it has done excellently well.(that's customer feedback) and you don't need to joke with it, remember without them(sellers) there won't be Dan.

DAN users mean nothing to them as long as they can boast about their numbers and business. Any suggestion or opinion we may or may not have, doesnt really matter to these guys. So leaving them is the best solution and I made half of my move already.

I have stopped at 50 domains and don't plan to add anymore.
The provided information from domainers and DAN replies (here and in another thread) - one more proof for me, that the best selling model is DIRECT + escrow to close it.

You mean the additional security layer in VISA/MC cards?
If it makes problems - this option can be disabled by the card issuer per holder's request...

It has nothing to do with DAN or Adyen if a buyer completes the verification or not. 3D verification is handled by the card issuer and not by Adyen or DAN and is often automated since we implemented 3D verification 2.0 recently.

My platform is for me to use ONLY (fyi) and as I have always been open about things I'll share with members here how they can leave UNDERdeveloped platforms like yours and setup their own landing pages with International payment gateway to sell their domain names. Oh and where AMEX is accepted, unlike yours.

Dont really need a piggyback ride from underdeveloped platform to float anything of my own ;)

If the buyer’s payment faces AMEX bounce and their ( AMEX) inability to contact buyer for verification process (that happens a lot ) they will switch off both unpaid and paid accounts. In another words ...the card is blocked until verification is completed. You’ll face lots of bounced cards , even for $20.

I'm extremely surprised at how supportive
and innovative these guys are

-they are open for suggestions
-fix issues
-respond in time

they do most of it simple "right"

when you have dealt with sedo/ afternic or even worse uniregistry
for decades

you will love to use DAN

Yes very true had far more sales with Dan than any other platform just price higher and take the 9% hit i have used every platform
