Isn't that Swedish for "I have feminine"? Not Spanish.
No I thought it was Spanish. I need to recheck. My wife speaks Spanish so I will ask her.

I don't know what "I have feminine" would be useful for in Swedish but that would be "Jag har feminin".

Hi
my native language is spanish, but I try to register domains in English, because they have more value and output. some domains in Spanish are

0kilometro.com (new car), preciosas.es (lovely, beautiful girls), postor.es (auctions), consejosdeyoga.com (yoga tips).

I started less than 3 months ago in this environment, and I haven't sold any yet, but I know I will soon sell

Not something I focus on, but here are my Spanish names (which came as part of a portfolio purchase):
SalioElSol.com - means 'The sun came out' or 'The sun came up'.
DecoracionDeBodas.com - means 'Wedding Decoration'.
HastaLaMuerte.com - I was told that it is Spanish for "to the bitter end", but a more accurate translation appears to be ‘to death’ or ‘to the death’.

Yes, ‘Inter’ meaning something like ‘from within’ so ‘throughout’ would be acceptable and ‘Espana’ meaning Spain (although the ñ is not being used). I don’t really know how they would feel typing the ‘n’ instead of the ‘ñ’ but I would say that it would not be a problem with this younger generation.

Cheers,

DN

And yes, I know it is not easy to sell Spanish domains.
I am doing this: "not because it is easy, but because it is hard" ...

Hola,

The one thing that I got a lot of when I was starting out was advice. Some of it was good advice and some of it was a life lesson.

When you begin, there are people who have already made your mistakes. Listen to them carefully.

It is brilliant that you are registering so many names but what you always have to remember is that in a year from now you will be faced with the renewal cost which more often than not will cost more than the initial registration fee.

Secondly, and this is just my own opinion, but I don't see that they are a great fit with the .sl domain extension. Perhaps, you could explain why you think this is a good idea.

If you are able to register with a .es for Spain, then your names could take on a whole new meaning.

For example:

flores .sl becomes
flor.es which although not as good as a Dot.Com makes more sense.

Now, if the renewal costs issue is not a problem for you, then that is good but you always have to ask yourself when registering a domain name what is your end game. What will you do with the domain?

Thank you for your comment, I always appreciate feedback. I will do my best to clear things.

Your comment is based on false assumption that domain extension is "SL", while in reality it is "SI" - or even better ".si" !

This small change is essence of my registrations - because "si" means simple "yes" and so the right part of domain becomes a marketing tool. "ECO SI" or "FLORES SI" sounds good - at least to me ;)

Some benefits I see are:

- "si" means simple and positive "yes"
- "si" is a marketing part of domain with meaning
- "si" is apolitical - not related to specific country, but rather to language
- "si" can be used in a way as they are used extensions, like: .tv, .me, .io, .ai
- ".si" can own everybody - there are no limitations at all
- ".si" is a safe extension of EU member state Slovenia

When I travelled in Bolivia I saw on house walls simple grafiti: "EVO SI".
Put a dot in between and you get a domain.

And last but not least: MONEY - MARKETING

For example, if you buy my domain www.bodas.si (comparing to price of emd .es domain on SEDO) - you will still have about 200.000 € for: developing website - and marketing, marketing, marketing ... !

On the end no matter of domain name - you still have to market and advertise your website and content. As somebody who developed sites as well (not on top high level), I know, that domain is not giving you, what people in most cases think. Still much to do with SEO optimisation and advertising. Without advertising you will have no success - so it is IMPORTANT you have enough budget for this.

"SI" is for the people and companies who think out of the box!
Not the biggest ones, but for medium sized with clever people or advertisers.
Spanish ".si domains" are my experiment and are only a small part of my 1000+ ".si" domains portfolio. But even if you are experimenting, you have to be on top level ...

I do my job directly and rarely on SEDO (so I do not need to pay provison), but still I have a number 1. and number 5. of biggest public domain sales for ".si", just check Namebio for names ... ;)

I did realise it was .si, though personally I still think it's a stretch to use a ccTLD (unless it is one that is commonly used for other purposes such as .co, .tv, etc). Sure, I understand what you're saying about si meaning yes, but I think you will be working pretty hard to sell those Spanish domains in .si.

But with that said, congrats on the .si sales. Real Estate in the native language is certainly a stronger domain than 'flowers' in Spanish for .si though!

Yes, number 5 sale ...

It is NOT my country language, but our neighbour country language (meaning real estate)!
But I own www.realestate.si (parked on SEDO). Domain is receiving a high volume traffic,
one day it will sell ...

Today I just checked domain, which I sold to Czech Republic company (eta .si), now is developed site. I mention it, because for example eta.es is forbidden name/domain - you cannot register this name ;)

Primero, lo siento. As you can see, I speak a little Spanish. It means...first, I'm sorry. I'm not the best at either written or spoken Spanish but I know the basics.

I was a beginner like most people and I learned from my mistakes and I took on-board all of the constructive criticism and put it to good use.

I presumed, wrongly that what you had written in capitals was '.sl' and not '. si'. This, however makes no difference at the end of the day as there is still one piece of critical information that you may not have taken into consideration.

In Spanish (in Spain - not 100% sure about South America so you would need to confirm) the word 'si' means 'if' as there is no accent over the letter 'i', whereas the word 'sí' means 'yes' as there is an accent over the 'i'.

This is only a small difference in Spanish, but i the English speaking world it means two different things when literally translated, namely 'if' or 'yes'.

As you said yourself...And yes, I know it is not easy to sell Spanish domains.
I am doing this: "not because it is easy, but because it is hard" ...

My view is that it is hard to sell any domain and it is even more critical in my honest opinion when doing it in a foreign language that we do it in the correct manner.

Perhaps, you could seek further opinion from someone who uses Spanish (Spain) or Spanish (South America) as their first language.

Perhaps, you could seek further opinion from someone who uses Spanish (Spain) or Spanish (South America) as their first language.

I will showcase two examples:

- one is the most generic - live site dominios (.si) - registrant country is Spain, domain is registered since 2007
- in light of recent political situation in Spain it is interesting domain catalunya (.si) - registrant is from Spain
- there are many live sites, I just can't recall them now (perhaps later)

But yes, I am also keen to know, how others look on this - specially form South America!

I saw a big niche (and today are not many niches with premium KWs available) and I have time, will and resources for next 5 years to check if I am right or wrong ;)

Also .io was not immediately startup niche ... some time and patience and we will see.
And yes, it is hard, if you are on unknown territory ...

I think you may need more information and/or confirmation from seasoned NP member whether they think that you have discovered an untapped niche and explore whether it is untapped for a very good reason.

How will you sell your domains and who will you sell them to? I have a few Spanish related domains myself as I hope to move to Spain in the future and I love everything about the culture, the people, the food and especially the weather.

Good luck with your endeavors and keep on reading for good tips.

Hasta luego

Yes, that why domaining is interesting. Sometimes is just good if you repeat know patterns (as much as you can), sometimes you are on discovery travel.

I like myself all good things too - weather, people, food, women (oops, I am married).

Wish you all the best in the future.

Ojala que si

PS - next week I travel with my wife for 3 weeks in South America (sorry no details here), so this got me "an idea" of this "self-promotion" lol
