Last November I posted how Flippa had changed their pricing model. Well just 6 months later and they are changing the pricing model again. Back in November 2018 the pricing changed to the following: Asset Sales including the sale of a domain, app or starter site, i.e. something not generating any revenue, can be sold for a listing fee of $25 and success fee of 10%.Self Service Business … [Read more...]

It is possible sales are declining so Flippa has a new business model to get guaranteed monthly revenue. However, do not see how Flippa can get much business with a $15 monthly listing fee when you consider the stats showing chance of selling a domain is approx' 1% to 2% a year or even less.

Spent lots of money during early domaining years. Huge waste

Does this apply to domains listed in domain portfolio @FlippaDomains ?

Flippa is a burnt out husk of what it once was. Can't see it changing any time soon either.

Greed gets everyone eventually.

Same here. I wasted a lot of money on Flippa auctions back in 2015. I always regret that.

Flippa should consider giving high exposures to our domain name listings. If they sell, it is benefit for them also. But they do not do it. I have experienced very very low exposure for my listings. Sometimes only 2 or 3 views. How can you expect the domain name will be sold when you do not promote your pages aggressively? Even $ 15 per listing per month also is very high.

I would expect a website called "flippa" to flip their positions all the time. In that respect, is their name a brandable or an exact match domain?

I have same question, anyone can confirm if domain porfolio listing is still free?

It will be disappointing if it isn't still free. I made a decent sale and I have had some decent offers through Flippa classifieds this year but I couldb't justify $15/mo per name (I imagine few could...). I am waiting for a reply from support, I will update when I hear back if @FlippaDomains doesn't post here first...

I don't think this has been free for a while now. I'm sure I remember someone saying they had started to charge per name added to portfolio. I haven't used Flippa for a long time though so would be good for a current user to confirm.

I have all of my names there currently and I haven't been charged yet.. I listed one as recently as last week. I am just hoping I don't get a $1500+ bill next month

Sounds like they took that charge away then. Maybe there were too many complaints. Good to know.

FYI I just added another domain to my portfolio and it didn't say anything about $15/mo so I think this is just for other types of listings.. Would appreciate confirmation though @FlippaDomains

Just got confirmation from Flippa support that portfolio listings will continue to be free 😁

Flippa has taken millions and millions of free money from unsuspecting newbies over the years. Now, everyone is becoming wiser. Time to close shop or rebrand

Right, I have approximately 1500 listed too and have received offers somewhat regularly (nothing sold via Flippa for some time though), and not been charged anything or asked to pay anything.

So perhaps the charges are only for newer accounts, older ones grandfathered in with no fee.

I was just charge a mysterious $186 by Flippa, and they claim they have no idea what it is. I need to read up on what the hell they are up to. I have an old account with a ton of domains on there, I didn't know we could get charged for that. I did have a no-reserve auction the ended without sale and then got the mystery charge.

Flippa should turn to no listing fee hand filtered domains and earn money on success fees. The same model as NameJet.

Did you request for a refund?

Did you request for a refund?

Flippa stated they had no record of the charge, but it is clearly stated as them on my credit card statement.

Flippa refunded my $7 auction listing fee for some reason.

Credit card issued me a credit and disputed the amount with Flippa. I can only assume they tracked the origination of the charge and it was in fact, from Flippa.

I suddenly get another $7 refund for some unknown reason, but via Paypal (Since the charge was via Paypal?)

Then Flippa emails me stating I am banned from platform for making a dispute.
